Just when you thought you have seen enough remakes, Skyfall writers, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade and the Drive director, Nicolas Winding Refn announced they will be making a Barbarella tv show. It is unclear if they are rebooting the mindless scifisex-romp that starred Jane Fonda or adapting the comicstrip it was based on. Wasn't Nicolas Winding Refn supposed to be doing by now the damned Logan's Run remake? Ryan Gosling already droped-out of the project.
That was a great Saturday movie matinee back in the day, in the early 70s for 75 cents. I saw it on a double bill with Ray Harryhausen's epic "The 7th voyage of Sinbad." Jane was buff and sexy for those times and it was creepily entertaining.
