Looks like a lot of FUN.... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/K0LLaybEuzA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Eh. Would be better the movie took place in a whole city instead of a house. Warriors style. I dont know how good this will be.
The house idea is boring IMO. And it's been done (family looked in a house with people coming in) Alone out in the city to fend off strangers wanting to murder you is so much better IMO. Having to last until sunrise would be fun as hell.
I agree with Anthony. It would have been so much better if the family had to get through the city back to the safety of their house or something. I guess they went with the house thing because of the low budget but still! Imagine the possibilities if they had to go through the city. No rules! No law! 100% free for all crime spree! People killing people! People raping people! People soliciting where signs clearly say no soliciting! And so on and so on! I think they missed a boat on this one!
And definitely some members of the family should not make it alive. Hell all of them should die, but pussy hollywood wont do something like that.

5/10..... I hate their fucking SON.....the Eliza Dushku looking daughter..*nice* :hump: saying im sorry dad throughout the fucking movie was annoying. Anyone should be sorry is that faggoty son......the twisty twist at the end was okay...the initial preppy douchbags at the beginning were good I waiting with a great high to see them killed off....but the whole thing was very underwhelming.....
NO......that is not a twist..that is every other movie... Actually now that I think about it...it wasn't really a twist......I thought the cookies would be poison.....you can sense the loathing....
Movie was crap 3/10 at best Just a lot of random shit and killings. No character development at all. People just died and you didn't give a shit because you didn't really know anything about them. And what twist ILLU ? WTF man ? That was no twist at all. Movie was really really below average. Fuck the 3/10 I take it back 2/10
I disagree with you guys. Maybe since I was having such low expectations the movie turned out to be more effective (yet predictable) than I thought. The kid was indeed stupid & annoying and deserved to had his head chopped with an ax. The film does had its moments of tension during the blackout scenes and build-up earlier. Hey, not all main characters survived, so it lets the door open for a sequel of families revenge. Not a memorable film, but a watchable one. 6.5/10
The film had a $3 million budget. There is no way they could do that on that tiny budget, but the idea is great for a sequel with a larger budget though.
What spoiler? I didn't gave anything away. I just expressed what I wished one character deserved, not what REALLY happened.
The budget reflects the script. Had they scripted it that way, there would be more money to pay for it.
Well, the studio hires this particular director because he has a great track record of delivering hits on a microscope budget (Paranormal Activity, Insidious). Money wise makes more sense for the studio to make a film on a $3 million budget that will make 20 times what it cost than, lets say a $200 million film that will make only twice its budget. Is less risky and even if the movie bombs it will still make a lot of dough on dvd/bluray sales, rentals and tv rights. Is a win-win gamble for the studio.
I thought this move had good potential. Was hyped to see it. I agree the son was pretty creepy. That twist was umm.. funny at best. I found myself laughing. 5/10.
The premise is great. It was too centralized on one family/neighborhood, that was a huge let down. It played out how you would expect.
Word is they are working on a sequel. I hope they use my idea and make it one family or one person against a city. Warriors style
