Has anyone seen "Phantom Punch" Starring Ving Rhames?

    Biopic about Sonny Liston directed by Robert Townsend.

    Terrific movie about one of boxing's hardest hitters ever.

    Not 100 percent entirely factual, but then again most movies are not.

    Still; good entertainment value and nicely photographed.

    Rhames actually has him pretty much down pat and looks fairly good in the fight scenes.

    That film has received bad reviews all over. I remember Rhames wanted to produce and film it in Puerto Rico. He was looking for local production companies and offering to pay 50 or 100 grand for the whole thing. That's a TV ad budget, not a full quality film budget.

    Well, those reviewers don't know anything about boxing.


    Boxing fans and historians in particular, will enjoy it.
