Ben Affleck should just direct movies. He's not a bad actor, but he has potential to be a great director.

That's gay. Josh Brolin should've gotten the gig. Did they forgot Daredevil?

Wow what a terrible choice. I knew hollywood was trying to push this man down our throats, but this will backfire. If he turns out to be a good batman, i will admit it, but i for one, think this is the biggest fucking mistake they could have done. And they want Afleck to basically be the franchise Batman for the Justice League?

"By playing a superhero in Daredevil, I have inoculated myself from ever playing another superhero. Wearing a costume was a source of humiliation for me and something I wouldn't want to do again."

Yeah, but ask yourself this. Is there any other actor who they could have put in that Daredevil costume that would have made it a decent film? No. So obviously the writting and direction was the problem, not Affleck. I honestly don't care too much who they get to play Batman as long as it's written and done well.

However, if they want to do it right they should look for hungry actors who aren't big names that could be outstanding in these roles. You know, kind of like the way they found Ledger as the Joker. They need to do screen tests not just pick a name actor.

The writing was bad, but Affleck was also terrible. Affleck was specifically terrible in that movie. He had no energy he sucked. He didnt want to do the movie and it showed. Ben should have stuck with directing and playing parts that dont involve lots of talking to rebuild his career.

I think he can be a good Batman/Bruce Wayne. He has the physical look and can act. The Daredevil fiasco wasn't his fault. That film would still had been awful even with an Edward Norton as the lead. Affleck is a lifelong comicbook fan and knows the Batman character better than most of all. Keep in mind this will be a totally different Batman interpretation just like Bale's was different Keaton's. If they didn't signed Bale was probably because Bale was tired of the role and wanted to pursue other challenges. Is a luxury he can afford since, after all, he is leaving the franchise with his bank account tilted with so many zeros after the first two digits.

Affleck, Meh. His own movies are pretty good but Im not sure about this.

It was reported over here that Bale was offered 50 million to star in the movie but turned it down

Ben has sucked in many movies and is only good in a few. And this will not be a different interpretation as the same writer from the Dark Knight series is writing this.

I'm sorry, but like I said I really don't give a shit who plays Batman. It's a character I just can't get all that excited about. The only Batman film ever worth all the hype was the Dark Knight, and even that was more a fluke than anything.

REED's THE ONLY Person he Knows that Found "Daredevil" @ Least TOLERABLE:lol:...

Wasn't Nearly as BAD as Most Say it was, in REED's Opinion...Affleck's More of a BETA Male & Daredevil FIT his Personality...Seemingly MEEK, HELPLESS, BLIND Man...

Bruce Wayne/Batman is ALPHA...Affleck LACKS the Presumed PHYSICALITY to Play the Role Effectively...He's Got a SOFT, Somewhat HIGHER Pitched Voice to Boot...The LAST Thing we Need is Batman Sounding like a BEYOTCH...

Funny, I think I enjoyed "Daredevil" better then ANY of the Spiderman movies and more then most of the superhero shlock that gets thrown at us. I think it would have been really good if they pushed that PG-13 boundary into an "R" rating, as they were obviously trying to go after the look and feel of "The Crow". Should have gone all out.

I think people hate it because everybody was shitting on both Affleck and Colin Farrell at the time, and it had a no-name director.

Katt Williams would make a better Batman than Affleck.

They would've been better off bringing back Adam West.

Just a reminder of how bad it was. And how stiff affleck is. There is nothing athletic about him and we will be seeing stunt doubles doing most of the work.

Oh please. Like Liam Neeson isn't riddled with arthritis. They can make anybody look like an athletic bad-ass nowadays.

That was 10 years ago. Before quick cuts and shaky cam editing of action scenes became popular.

Plus he was playing a blind guy. Didn't want to make him too flexible. Maybe they wanted to make him seem like he was "feeling' the action and not "seeing" it.

Put Liam Neeson in the same scene without a double and he'd be picking his dentures up off the floor, winded from all the semi-frenetic action.

All that being said, you are comparing someone in their 30s to someone in their 60s. that alone doesnt help Affleck's case.
