Homefront trailer & review From a screenplay that Sylvester Stallone wrote 10 years ago for himself, but that he eventually passed to his buddie Jason Statham. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/tjSOj8b804U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>
Jason Statham thing is really weird to me, because it feels like he could be a pretty good actor and star, but seemingly he always seems to do/pick roles Steven Segal would pick.
Homefront The movie starts with a promising premise, but then by midway starts losing steam and taking inexplicable turns that lead to nowhere, but toward the predictable showdown. Stahan is efficient as the exundercover cop who moves to a small southern town to start anew with his 10 year old daughter after his wife passed away only to clash with the local meth lord henchmen. Kate Bosworth has a surprising memorable acting turn as the foul mouthed white trash mother of the fat kid who got beat up by Stahan's daughter which starts the whole chain of events. Bosworth demonstrates here she is more than a pretty face and can play despicable characters. James Franco plays his meth cook role as a suave redneck which by near the end isn't bad enough to deserve the beating Stahan gives him. Wynona Ryder is the real bitch in this movie, but her character wasn't developed enough. The action scenes are good, but the editing job and direction leaves a lot to be desired.6.5/10
