Great movie. Martin Scorsese is fucking brilliant. He has made more good movies than any director imo.

Ya he's good and so is DiCaprio. I can't believe how he went from that annoying little pretty boy from Titanic (annoying mostly due to his fans not him) to a great actor like he did.

Agreed. Both have worked together a lot. Scorsese has quite some movies that score more than an 8 on imdb.

Loved it. I liked the classic aesthetic of the movie. The music and the style was old school.

Great film. I think it got bagged on a little much. People were trying to read too much into it.

I think that's the mistake people made. They were looking for some big fucking twist. There was no twist, it was all telegraphed from the beginning. It was about the story, not some movie saving M. Shamalamlam twist at the end.

I don't remember the trailer, but I'm guessing the director of the movie and the producers of the trailer were on completely different pages.

Yeah i remember they all about some shocking twist and shit. You are right. Had they not tried to hype a twist, the movie would have been ten times better for someone like me. Hell, it's martin Scorcese. No need to hype it too much. And then let the work speak for itself.
