Why? Because of the conspiracy angle? It is a masterpiece imo.

I agree with Anthony: I tried to watch this movie and couldn't finish it because it was extremely boring. I was curious about it because (A) it was based on a comicbook graphic novel (B) it starred Natalie Portman who at the time was fresh hot from the Star Wars prequels (C) Hugo Weaving was awesome as Agent Smith in The Matrix (D) critics were raving about what a great intelligent plot it had. The fact that the movie bombed and the few people who watched it hated it didn't stop me to rent it. Oh, boy! the film was like 40 minutes running time and I still was not even remotely interested on what was going on. I gave it another 15 minutes and then when I realized my mind was wandering about 'what's on HBO right now?' I just put it on stop and never bothered to continue the torture. To each its own. I was bored beyond belief. 3/10

Took me a few times to watch it all the way through but it was good when I finally did.

I loved the film but I hate all the cult following and association with anonymous and hipster rebel idiots it gained and now I can't watch it anymore.

Agreed. I had a friend who showed it to me and was all hyped about it telling me how great it was. After we watched it he seemed surprised how unimpressed with it was. I mean it was okay, entertaining and even a bit re-watchable but it's not the masterpiece many blow it up to be. At least not IMO.

i didn't find it too boring, but the ending was stupid enough to render the entire movie pointless

This film was teeny bopper bullshit

Fucking X with his "No Country For Old Men is overrated, it's not great... V for Vendetta was a truly great film"

I watched it like "WTF???" That's like saying "'The Godfather' is soooo overrated... You wanna see a great film? Go watch 'Cruising'"

It was alright. I have no desire to watch it again though. Basically the same principles as "Fight Club" but much less compelling IMO.

We get some gay Phantom of the Opera character, instead of cool shit like fighting..............and clubbing.
