Bedazzled (2000) rewatched this film again last night. One of my 'guilty pleasure' films. It is not great, not even good remake of Stanley Donen's 1967 version which in all honesty I did not thought much about it. But this remake is better in my eyes maybe because Elizabeth Hurley is the Devil and Brendan Fraser did such an amazing job as the loser nerd Elliott who signs a pact with the Devil to grant him seven wishes in exchange for his soul. I particularly enjoyed the 'Colombian drug lord sequence where all the american actors speak in Spanish, that was a riot. Hurley is hot as hell (pun intended) as well as Frances O'Connor as Allison. The film has many hidden jokes that you'll miss if you don't pay attention (like the Devil's club's sign name 'DV-8'). The film was trashed by critics and bombed at the boxoffice when it was released in 2000. Yet tis is a comedy I can watch any day. real rating: 5/10 Panchy's guilty pleasure rating: 8/10 <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Li9nqaqgQVI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
