Nick Fury (David Hasselhoff) in the 1998 tv movie looked like the real deal while Samuel L. Jackson just looks like 'Shaft' with an eye patch

The first three Batmen looked funny as hell. Clockwise Lewis Wilson was the first Batman (1943) Robert Lowery (1949)was the second and the most infamous one, Adam West (1966) was the third Batman.

The much vilified 'Batman & Robin' with George Clooney and lots of more bat nipples

Did you knew there were three Spidermen before Toby McGuire?
Danny Seagren portrayed Spidey on a regular basis in the Electric Company's 'Spideys Super Stories' (1974)
Nicholas Hammond's stunt double in the super-duper boring 1978 tv series

Meanwhile in Japan that same year, Shinji Todo did it better with a Spidey battling monsters, aliens and robots which made the American version look even more lame!

Angela Bowie also tried for the role of classic Wonder Woman that eventually landed Cathy Lee Crosby with a totally revamped look, but then later Lynda Carter became the definite Amazon Princess. But before that, Linda Harrison (Planet of the Apes) did a brief stint at the character as Ellie Wood Walker's mirror image in 'Who's Afraid of Diana Prince?' the first Wonder Woman in a 1967 tv pilot which was going to be a sitcom! Here are a few screen wonder women:

Did you knew that in 1990 Brigitte Nielsen was going to play She-Hulk in a third 'Hulk' tv movie alongside Bill Bixby & Lou Ferrigno as a way to introduce the character for her own spin-off tv series? Nielsen was in full costume and make-up for the screen tests, but later the producers changed their mind and wrote her out of that movie and the series were aborted.
