K let's say I consume on average 600 cals from morning till 5 . I go straight to the gym after work burn the 600 cals or more so by the time I'm home I'm at zero calories for the day. ( my body burns 2000+ a day doing nothing) soooo if I have dinner and snack w.e I'll be at most 1000 cal for the day.. Giving me a 1000 calorie deficit a day. Weekends I would say will balance out at even so -5000 a week x 8 = let's say I should lose 11.5 pounds in 2 months! Victory shall be mine!!"

I find it rarely works that way, and it happens in spurts of weight-loss. After 3 months of hovering around the same weight, I dropped 10lbs to 170. I rebounded a bit, but even though my weight has risen slightly (water retention), I am down another notch or so on my belt.

The long distance running gets me dropping weight in a hurry. I don't find counting calories precisely works for me.

Congrats. I'm holding steady at 175 myself. With a bit more effort, I'll make the 160s within the next few months.

Thanks. Isn't 160 a bit too low for you?

I'll be quite lean, for sure. I weighed 170 last night after a 3rd day of 8km runs. I can hit 155 and walk around at 160. Right now my bodyfat percentage is 17%, and I'm in decent shape. :)

How tall are you again Buddy?

At 160 or so, even though I was very lean, I looked too thin IMO

I'm 5ft7.5in, but like sly, I prefer to round up to 6ft. I'm looking lean, and my abs are plainly visible, but I still have bodyfat I can lose comfortably. I think 155-160 at my height would be a touch on the thin side but ideal for me. I can add muscle from there with a heavy weight-training program and keep my weight between 160-170.

168.2lbs as as of yesterday. The long distance running just drains it out of me. I'm at 16.9% bodyfat. 8km a day slims me down like you wouldn't believe. I made it to the lightest I've been in 18-19 years.

The elliptical is easier on your joints for sure. Running really impacts my knees, hips, and ankles more than anything I can think of, but that might be part of why it cuts my weight so quickly. The elliptical machine absorbs your body's impact even more than a treadmill. I also just like getting out in the fresh country air. That probably also has a beneficial effect.

I used to really be into biking. Ottawa has pretty extensive bike paths, and when I first moved here, I was broke as a joke and it was a cheap way to get around. Same with rollerblading.
