vision quest was awful. can't think of any other wrestling movies besides that and win-win. there's a movie about the shultz brothers coming out called the foxcatcher. looks pretty promising and seems to be creating a lot of oscar buzz. kingpin is the best sports movie ever.
Basically all my favourite sports films here Rocky Warrior Any Given Sunday The Hustler Raging Bull Coach Carter The Colour of Money White Men Can't Jump Ali Jerry Maguire Kingpin The Karate Kid The Natural Cinderella Man Rudy SeaBiscuit Invincible
If you know your 70s hockey and you are familiar with the WHA of that era as well, the DVD commentary on Slap Shot is a blast... The guys who played the Hansen brothers provide the commentary and it's a treasure trove of funny stories about the making of the film, the real players featured in the game scenes (many of whom played sporadically in the NHL and WHA) as well as the rinks where the games took place, lots of funny stuff about Newman and Strother Martin... I think anyone who liked the film would enjoy the commentary, but especially if you really know hockey of that period you'll get a big kick out of it
I LIKED THE LONGEST YARD TOO! THAT IS LOK'S DESCRIPTION OF HIS PRIVATE PART AND BURT REYNOLDS IS HOT! LOL!
