At first, I was thinking Lara schools the kid, but I just have a bad feeling about that. Lara's chin worries me, and I can't help but think Canelo will be able to drop him once or twice, to pull out a decision. I hope to HELL I'm wrong. but that's the feeling I've had in the past few weeks.

I think Canelo wins as well. I like Lara but he's pretty overrated.

I am. Hope I'm wrong. And I've been wrong about MOST fights lately, so it's good news for Lara.

I expect Canelo to win a close one by virtue of harder single shots ... I also believe he will drop Lara at least once

I think Lara is going to win a close one. I still don't know where to rate Canelo, was the Mayweather fight a bad performance that he will use as a learning experience or is he simply an overhyped can opener who can't handle a good boxer ? Very interesting fight

Ummmm....... I hope you're not serious. You know GODDAMN WELL Lara isn't winning if the fight is close.

Lara will have to dominate to get the decision.

I expect a clear Lara decision. I've never been sold on Canelo at all. I feel somewhat vindicated by the Floyd fight, where he looked as scrubby as I expected. And it's very hard to imagine him beating any good, slick boxer, such as Lara.

Still can't believe he beat Trout and Cotto didn't though, that is a weird one.

I had it a draw, myself

Trout might've won if he hadn't had to deal with horribly biased judging which, thanks to open scoring, he and his people were surely aware of and certainly would have affected his gameplan

Yeah I agree, it was very close and could have gone either way. Close enough that you can't really argue with Canelo getting the decision.

Canelo Puts His Punches Together MUCH Better than Angulo, Who Dropped Lara 2wice...There's DEFINITELY Going to Be Some Rough, Hairy Patches for Lara in this Bout...

Lara's Obviously Talented, but he AIN'T Rigondeaux Either...REED Doesn't Foresee him SCHOOLING Canelo @ All...It'll Be a Closely Contested Fight, BOTH Men will Have their Moments, But Canelo VISIBLY Hurts &/or DROPS Lara @ Least 2wice & Likely STOPS him...

angulo was able to get to lara because he threw caution to the wind and went balls out early in the fight. sheer pressure. alvarez doesnt fight like that at all

By that Same Token, Lara DOESN'T Fight in a Manner That Could Compromise Canelo's SUSPECT Stamina Either...

Canelo's Got UNDERRATED Handspeed & he's a Pretty GOOD Counterpuncher, w/POP in Either Hand...Lara ISN'T All That, Defensively, Meaning He's Going to Get HIT...& When he Does, he'll Be HURT...

alvarez will land some shots here and there but i am not sold on his punching power. lara fights in exactly the style that will compromise alvarez' shitty stamina. he will make the guy miss a lot and that will get him tired.

Canelo DOESN'T Punch a lot Against Hard to Hit Guys...

Didn't Floyd Actually OUTPUNCH Canelo???...If Canelo Finds Lara DIFFICULT to Land on Cleanly, he'll Monitor his Punch Rate to Compensate...

I'm not sold on his punching power either. Floyd's punches seemed to have more effect than vice versa.

He's just an overrated, fat legged little ginger.

I thought the opposite tbh - i thought Alvarez was cruising because he knew he was winning so easy, every time he upped the pace he got the better of it easily and probably would have done that more if the judges had it closer

He never landed flush, but he landed fairly clean a couple of times, with no effect.

I have changed my mind now too. Dildo recipient brought out the big guns. Roth, moretti and some mexican judge. Alvarez w 12 is already filled out on 2 if not 3 cards

Lara better put on a Rigo-Donaire type master class in order to even get a SD.

But I don't think he'll put on a Rigo-Donaire type masterclass, so yeah, Crapnelo's gonna win.

I look at all the trouble Canelo had with Trout and I just see him getting schooled, honestly. Lara has better skills, is smarter, and Canelo doesn't pressure nor attack with the same intensity that Angulo does, which means Lara can fight at the measured pace that he wants. I doubt he stops Canelo, but he should win clear enough for the decision.

I'm gonna give the lil Ging the benefit of the doubt and say that perhaps he raises his game from the Trout fight.

But expect Lara to raise his game as well.

Truth be told, I know it's fashionable to make a prediction; but I have NO FUCKIN CLUE who wins this fight. It's basically 50-50, and I can't wait!

I get the feeling that Canelo will be able to time Lara often and when he does he'll hurt him, but I'm still going with my gut feeling that Lara will pose him more problems with his movement and shot selection. I'm going with Lara on points.

I think Canelo will be able to touch Lara and drop him to get a UD.
