Apparently, Garcia is facing a scrub in his next fight. And on the same card is Peterson! And Garcia's response? He says the opponent doesn't matter - it's the Danny Garcia show. Is he going to have his next fight at Radio Music Hall? Can we now assume Danny is done "fighting" for a living and moved onto "show" business?

Meanwhile, as he gets set to face a scrub, his father says Algieri and Peterson should fight it out to see who deserves a shot at him? Anyone else see the irony in that? "You guys face each other to earn a shot at me while I face someone who's done nothing to earn his shot."

Why can't fighters (and their promoters) just be straight - shooters with us fans?

No longer a fan of Garcia's (and used to be a big fan when everyone said he scrubby and average). Hope he gets ktfo. The sooner he does, the sooner he will be back to fighting the likes of mathysse.

His father is a piece of shit. A loudmouth street thug who got his ass kicked in regularly. Now that the never-was has a son that is a world champion, he can finally talk shit that he himself could never back up and now doesn't have to.

Danny Garcia isn't very good....he will eventually get beat by one of these bums..sooner rather than later...Danny father is annoying but funny......Guerrero's father is just a fake unfunny little man....

Jones more or less beat up all the available contenders at 175, except for DM, who refused to leave Germany.

The only TOTAL scrub I can recall Jones beating was Glen Kelly.

This Salka bum is likely even worse than Glenn Kelly.

Jones WAS a star though, and was an attraction because of how good he is.

Danny Garcia is a good all around fighter with nothing special about his style, and ability.

Hopefully if he sticks around 140, he fights Crawford, so we can see him get outclassed.

D Garcia is a solid overall fighter. I think he's better then what we all thought. He will eventually lose but I think he will be champion for a while.

Crawford would beat Garcia, I think. But with the rest of the guys at 140, he's still golden.

Danny is a solid fighter. Better than given credit for. It's no shame if he loses to a guy like Crawford.

I am sort of curious. Much like Gamboa, he seemed to be a guy with lots of talent but who just never quite put it all together. Plus, like Gamboa, I seem to recall his fighting well above his optimal weight when he first ran into trouble.

Guzman's talent has always been grossly overstated. He is not exceptional in any area. Gamboa is far more talented.

Guzman is trying to be the next Dingaan Thobela. In five years time he'll pop up out of nowhere and fight for and win some vacant title at 154.

I don't hate RJJ. But nobody can deny he took advantage of the contract that HBO awarded him circa Rick Frazier, Glen Kelley. Some will say: who can blame him? The answer is nobody. But it must be acknowledged that in addition to taking advantage of HBO at the time, RJJ was also taking advantage of his fans. This of course gave rise to the roycott and the phrase: "pulling a RJJ."

He should've stepped up and whupped that mug Michalshitzki just to save the huge amounts of bandwith wasted on dudes talking about ducking and scared and all of that other wishful bullshit as if the fucking guy would have accomplished anything other than following him around and covering up from the combos

The division was absolutely horrid back then, which would explain why otherwise shitty fighters made the top ten for a minute

REED Wishes Roy had just Gone Overseas & Whipped MichalSHITski's Ass Too...But as an ELITE Level, Marquee American Fighter, REED Understands Why Roy Didn't...

Marquee American Fighters Simply DON'T Fight Abroad Anymore...Floyd's NEVER Done It, DeLa NEVER Did It...Mosley???...Vargas???...Ray Leonard???...Tommy Hearns???...

Conversely, Most Fighters EVENTUALLY Ply their Trade on American Soil, if they Take their Careers Seriously, That Is...Pac, Calzaghe, Hatton, Lennox Lewis, Froch, Hamed, Countless Mexican Fighters...

    Yet MichalSHITski Didn't...

REED Isn't Arguing the QUALITY (Or Lack Thereof) of the Division, REED's Arguing the DAMNED if he Does, DAMNED If he Doesn't Nature of Roy's Tenure in Said Division...

For the Better Part of 10 Years, Roy Beat EVERY Available Guy, Save for the 1 Name Fighter that Refused to Do an Eddie Murphy by Coming to America...& Roy was IMPRESSIVE in the Process...

It's Burning the Candle from BOTH Ends when RING Magazine Ranks Guys then CRITICIZES Roy Jones for Wiping his Ass w/the Guys They Ranked in the 1st Fucking Place...

Roy's light heavy reign is often criticized. But he did unify the title twice. Something nearly all of todays fighters are protected from.
