No. He'll fight Crapnelo. MUCH bigger money fight and MUCH MUCH more winnable for Miggy.

GGG wipes his ass with Cotto and Crapnelo in the same week.

I agree. I just want to see a legitimate fighter fight this guy. Roach won't let Cotto anywhere near this guy. He knows what will happen.

To be honest, I think cotto has a slight chance against GGG. his beating of martinez was as impressive as any GGG performance, and he seems to have retained his power at 160. Still, GGG is probably to big and powerful.

Not Sure if ya'll Know This, but Cotto was a SMALL Ass Welter & a Straight Up MIDGET @ '54...

Instead of Calling Out Shopworn SMALLER Guys, Why Doesn't GGG "Call Out" the Guy 8 lbs North of Him, Who's Ranked No Worse than Tip 3, Lb for Lb???...

Ummm.... maybe because Cotto is now recognized by the MAIN STREAM as the middleweight champion, and because he's worth more money than the high yella boring fella.

From Cotto's Perspective, a GGG Fight Makes ZERO Sense OR Cents...

Speaking of Which, What was the Attendance Tonight???...

GGG-Ward is IMPORTANT Enough to HBO Where they'd Make it Worth the While of BOTH Fighters...

GGG is afraid of moving up. He fears not being the bigger man in the ring.

Don't you want to see the 2 best fighters at 160 fight? If Cotto stays at 160 then he has a mandate to fight GGG.

It's all about that WBC belt, bro. Big money fight, yeah, but to beat "the guy who beat the guy who beat the guy" and claim that strap is all important at this point, no?

    THIS...

Historically, When Guys are "Feared", "Ducked" & Have Problems Making Meaningful Fights, they MOVEthefuckUP in Weight...

    160 is a SHIT Division & GGG's on the OUTSIDE Looking In...Cotto ISN'T a Middleweight & Quillin's a Haymon/Schafer Fighter...GGG Needs to Go Where the Dance Partners are; '68...

REED DOUBTS Very Seriously Cotto's 1 of the 2 Best Fighters @ 160...

Martinez was Himself a NATURAL Jr. Middle, is Damn Near 40 & had Been INACTIVE for Over a Year...There were REASONS for Cotto to Feel Positive about Facing Martinez @ 160...

But Winning a Title, Becoming CHAMPION Doesn't Mean You'd Beat Every Guy (or Even MOST Guys) in your Division...Especially when You're a Fighter that was UNDERSIZED 2 Weight Classes BELOW the Division You Currently have a Belt In...

Why is GGG &/or his Fanbase Sooooo RELUCTANT to Move Up 8lbs???...Is he Willing to Do ANYTHING for a Meaningful Fight, or Is that just TALK???...

What's GGG come in at on fight night? He looks like his frame could handle 168. He's also got the option of Chavez Jr at that weight, which is potentially a big $$ fight.

    No...

When Floyd Beat Carlos Baldomir for the WBC (& Lineal) Welterweight Title, All Anybody Wanted to Talk about Was How he DUCKED Antonio Margarita...

@ the End of the Day, NOBODY Cared Floyd Floyd had Beaten the Man, Who Beat the Man, Who Beat the Man...Beating Miguel Cotto for the Middleweight Title WOULDN'T Be a Remarkable Achievement...EVERYBODY on this Site Would Favor GGG to Win...

Sorry, but REED has NO Interest in a Fight where 100% of Fightbeat Tabs a Particular Guy to Win...

MR. The REED.....again....if Cotto wants to walk around calling himself 'middleweight champion of the world' he has a mandate. The mandate comes with the claim. If he doesn't - which is fair enough since he isn't a natural middleweight - relinquish the title and move back down to 154. [IMG]No problem.

Jr.'s Definitely More Likely to Follow Through w/that Bout @ '68, than '60...If that were GGG's Intro Bout to Super Middle, REED Would have NO Qualms w/it Whatsoever...

This is false. The fight was SUPPOSE to be at 168 in July, but Junior pussied out. GGG wasn't asking him to come down to 160. He was willing to move up. Junior doesn't care what weight it is, the only way he's fighting GGG is if it's stipulated in the contract that Golov isn't allowed to punch him in the face.

From a competitive stand point, GGG vs Junior is a COMPLETE mismatch. Junior has no chance whatsoever, but I'd like to see it because Junior's a cunt and deserves his face smashed in.

I'd rather see GGG-Froch. That fight would give us a true gage on how ready Golov is for Ward. Not sure if the farmer is willing to fight Golov though.

GGG signed to fight Chavez Jr. Chavez Jr didn't want none of GGG.

That's what I'm saying, 168.. I don't think Jr can make 160 anymore without significantly weakening himself, if at all

It'd be a good fight, X.. Chavez Jr has the size & chin to make it interesting for a little while, at least. A good run-up fight to Ward.

I guess you didn't read my previous post. The fight was ALREADY contracted to take place at 168. It was suppose to be July 12th. Junior pussied out.

GGG-Froch would be an interesting fight. Personally, I think Golov would stop Froch late, but Frochy would give him his toughest test to date.

Junior is a punching bag who struggles with the Brian Vera's of the world. He has NO CHANCE IN HOLY HELL of beating GGG.

Golov would beat Junior worse than Junior's dad beat Haugen.

Even a badass like Froch said he would avoid Golovkin.

Froch is one of the few guys in boxing who has fought everybody good in his weight class. I don't fault him for wanting to go out with some easier fights. I did say Froch would test GGG, but ultimately, he won't win. Golov will take Froch apart. He's too accurate, to both the head and body, and he doesn't take many punches in return. Froch would take a bad beating after the first 4-5 rounds or so.
