I have to say, Dillashaw's performance in the first fight is one of the best MMA performances I've ever seen, given how highly rated Barao was. Possibly THE best.

He just dominated him and made him look like a clueless scrub. Barely put a foot wrong. He could have finished him sooner, but that's about it.

It's hard to see Barao turning such a domination around.

I agree with MWS. It wasn't a lucky punch or a crazy submission. TJ beat him clearly in every aspect of MMA.

That will be tough to change.

Yeah, I never heard of either guy when I saw this fight, but after seeing Barao's record I couldn't believe it. Dillashaw just looked so much better that I figured Barao came from some scrub league or had a padded record or something. Like I said I don't know much about either guy so is it possible he just had an off night? Did he look like he was at his best? Cause it's not just the fact he got dominated but from where I was sitting he just didn't look like much in the first place, and really didn't look like a guy who should have as flashy a record as he did.

I was sold on Barao beforehand. Not even Aldo-light, more like Aldo-equal. Dillashaw is just a solid guy. Now a solid guy with one great win. It's mma, that happens pretty often.

Writing it off to an off-night and going with Barao, probably by standing technique ko.

Perhaps something was Lost in Translation, but Barao REPEATEDLY "Blamed" the Loss on him Going Into Cruise Mode after getting Drilled w/a Shot.

Hopefully Barao isn't RELYING on NOT Getting Hit in the RE....

Ouch. The UFC's card is done.

This might move into 1st place as the worst UFC PPV card ever.

Not Saying Barao is FAKING an "Illness", but he DIDN'T Seem Terribly Confident on the "Countdown" Show, to Be Honest...

Yeah, There's Been a FEW Highlights (Hendricks-Lawler, Ronda Rousey, Jones-Texiera), but Not Many More...

UFC is Still Transitioning from the Anderson Silva/GSP Years...Rousey's Literally CARRYING the Organization @ this Point...

Barao obviously didn't fancy his chances.

Technique KO's are often the best KO's.

Realistically though, it would be more of the same if Barao ever does fight Dillashaw again.

I think Barao and his team came to the realization that a quick rematch was a bad idea. There is no way Barao could fix the issues with his game with the 3 month turnaround.

Agan, it wasn't a fluke loss or off night. The Barao that stepped in the cage with Dillashaw likely beats any other 135 pounder on that night. But Dillashaw's strengths (speed, footwork, transition from striking to wrestling) were just better than Barao's ability to counter them.

That doesn't change in 3 months.

Not a good card but TJ did deliver a highlight reel KO.

It was pathetic listening to Rogan trying to convince viewers that a one-sided schooling was somehow competitive. Joe almost fell out of his chair every time Soto landed a jab.

From what I saw it was fairly competitive, Soto probably won round 1 and busted up TJ's face. I wouldn't call that a schooling really.

I dont know, Dillashaw landed 151 significant strikes to only 62 for Soto.

All 3 judges had it as a shutout when it ended.

But if you thought it was a competitive fight, then I'll take back what I said about Rogan.

Dillashaw was clearly winning, but it wasn't a beat down, Soto did fairly well with his jab and right hand, and it looked like he was blocking many of TJ's shots. I missed the KO though.

What about the Ferguson/Castillo fight? I hate lnp but thought Castillo eeked out a decision. Ferguson is exciting but has low level IQ as a fighter.
