After cementing my legacy as the board's most knowledgeable football poster, after correctly predicting in the pre-season, the Seattle Seahawks to defeat the Denver Broncos in the Superbowl, as well as predicting Peyton Manning to throw for more than 50 TD's and a breakout season from Josh Gordon, it is once again time for the most anticipated post on this board, year after year.....TFK's annual NFL Prediction thread.

    AFC East: New England Patriots
Tom Brady fell off a bit last year, but the Patriots are once again, still the class of the AFC East. They should win the division, easily, once again.

    AFC North: Cincinatti Bengals
Cincinatti take another step forward and runs away with the division this season again. Green is an elite receiver, Dalton is better than most give him credit for, their defense is excellent, and Jeremy Hill could have a better season than Gio Benard, giving Cindy a strong dual threat at RB.

    AFC: South: Indianapolis Colts
Andrew Luck takes his place among elite NFL QB's, leading the Colts to win their division. This time next year, Luck will be mentioned in the same company as Manning, Brees and Rodgers. T.Y. Hilton becomes one of the league's best receivers.

    AFC West: Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs eek out the division over the Broncos on tie breakers. Jamaal Charles continues his dominance. Travis Kelce has a breakout year.

Wildcard teams: Denver Broncos and Houston Texans
Manning doesn't have the season he had last year, but still throws for 4000+ yards and 40 TD's. Emmanual Sanders has a breakout season, and Wes Welker gets place on IR by midseason. Houston is nowhere near as bad as they were last year, and both Andre Johnson and Arain Foster have huge years. Clowney and Watt wreak havoc on QB's, and Ryan Fitzpatrick, while by no means a great QB, has a much better season than everyone expects.

    NFL East: Philadelphia Eagles
Philly almost wins this by default. The Giants are a mess, Dallas has a strong offense but their defense could be historically bad, and RG3 regresses even further and Kirk Cousins is starting at QB with a healthy Griffin on the bench by year's end.

    NFC North: Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers will be back healthy and Green Bay wins the division. They have strong receivers, and Eddie Lacy has a monster year.

    NFC South: New Orleans Saints
Brees does what Brees does, 5000+ yards and 40 TD's. Brandon Cooks leads the Saints in receiving yards and has 10+ TD's. Jimmy Graham remains the elite TE in the NFL.

    NFC West: Seattle Seahawks
SF takes a step back so Seattle wins the division by at least 2 games. Still an elite defense. Lynch will be phased out this season and Christine Michael will be the featured back going into the playoffs.

Wildcard teams: Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions
Cutler has a career year throwing to Marshall, Jeffery and Forte, while the addition of Golden Tate and an improved Joique Bell make the always strong Lions offense even stronger.

    Playoffs:
    Patriots beat Broncos
    Chiefs beat Texans
    Bears beat Eagles
    Packers beat Lions

    Week 2:
    Indianapolis beats KC
    Cincy beats New England
    Saints beat Chicago
    Seattle beats Green Bay

    Championship Games:
    Indy beats Cincinnati
    Saints beat Seattle

    Superbowl:
Indianapolis Colts beat the New Orleans Saints

As for my Dolphins, they'll be good enough to be a playoff team, but will find a way to blow it again. There will be a lot of transition in teams' running games this year as Devonta Freeman (ATL), Christine Michael (Sea) and Carlos Hyde (SF) are starting the season on the bench, but will be their teams starting RB's by years end. Cordarrelle Patterson has a breakout season. And Johnny Manziel will see action this year, and prove that he just isn't an NFL quality football player.

I am liking the bears chances week 2 at SF more now that Aldon Smith (who had 5.5 sacks against weak ass Webb 2 years ago when the bears were in frisco) bowman and possibly ray mcDonald will all be missing from SFs defense.

my super bowl pick is seattle vs new england. patriots defense seems very loaded with young talent especially their LB core and chandler jones. also think if healthy dominque easley will be a factor by the end of the season.

Green Bay @ Seattle. Seattle are the bookies favourites here but is it worth backing Green Bay to win by a small margin?

fudge packers offense will be good but their defense is going to be shitty. I expect seattle to score 30 against them. another problem for the packers is their O line. not great, and it is loud as fuck in that stadium. at least twice as loud as any Ive been to. i say seattle wins by 10 or more

    New York Football Giants Bitches!!!!!

Eli is going to go from throwing long desperation 3rd Down Intercept....................I mean strategically choreographed Punts, down the field, to an Alex Smith type "game manager".

Andre Williams is going to run for 1600 Yards and Jason Pierre-Paul will break out to have a Defensive Player Of The Year type season.

5-0 in the preseason.............16-0 in the regular season........3-0 in the playoffs

    Caligulart Out!!!!

Calling anyone the Karl Hegman of anything is about the most insulting thing you can say to a person, and should be a bannable offense.

Luck doesn't seem the type to go on a PCP driven rampage.

Speaking of faggots like Hegman, heard Michael Sam is about to sign with the Cowboys. How fitting.

In his BRIEF Stint w/the Rams, Sam PROVED to Be a CAPABLE NFL Caliber Pass Rusher...As Loooooooooong as he's Used in That Role, EXCLUSIVELY, he'll Have a Lengthy Pro Career...

Jerry Jones is STILL Second Guessing Himself for PASSING on Mr. Johnathan Football, so the Media Frenzy that Accompanies Sam is Right Up Jones' Alley, if NOT His Ass...If Dude Registers Double Digit Sacks, NOBODY Will Give a Fuck How Much Dick he Sucks in his Spare Time...

    Motherfucker Should Even Wear 69...

He's getting signed to the practice squad, and you're talking double digit sacks. Tap the brakes a bit.

Nope, I saw it. Doesn't make attaching double digit sacks, in any context, to someone barely good enough to make an NFL practice squad any less ridiculous.

Only if You're CLUELESS as to What the Fuck "IF" Means...The Way you IMMEDIATELY Resort to Being a DICK, @ the Scent of a Varying Opinion, is VINTAGE Hegman...Apparently, Your Sig is More of an HOMAGE to Him...

Anyways, We're Talking about the Co-Defensive Player of the Year in College Football's BEST Conference...Sam had the MISfortune of Being Drafted By the 1 Squad that's Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeper than Any Other on the Defensive Line...Sam's ONLY Chance to Make the Rams was as a Special Teamer, Which is as "Fish Out of Water" as it Gets, Considering his Skillset...

Sam's a PASS RUSHER, Period...He Makes Plays within 3-5 Yards of the Line of Scrimmage, Exclusively..."America's Team", YOUR Dallas Cowboys Don't have a RELIABLE Guy that Can Do That, Currently...Henry Melton MIGHT Be, but it Remains to Be Seen...Ditto for Anthony Spencer...Ditto for the "DeMarcus" Jerry Drafted to REPLACE DeMarcus Ware...

The Boys have a Lot of "IF's" Right Now...There's NO Guarantee's w/Sam Either, Obviously, but he CLEARLY Adds Depth @ a Position of NEED for the Dallas Cowboys...

Not Sure what's Sooooo "Ridiculous" About That...

That's funny. Saying tap the brakes to a ridiculous comment is being a dick? And worthy of yet another one of your typical diaper wettings?

In all likelyhood, Sam will never play a down in a real NFL game. He's just not that good. If it weren't for his love of cock making him famous, nobody would even know who he is. If he can't make it in Dallas, where they are desperate for defensive help, he's not catching on anywhere.

CLEARLY, You Started Your Fucking PERIOD 1st, Dude...

If Dude Registers Double Digit Sacks, NOBODY Will Give a Fuck How Much Dick he Sucks in his Spare Time...

For SOME Reason, You MIStook that Quote as Some Sort of Prediction or EXPECTATION of What Sam is Going to Do, when it Fact, All REED was Saying is, NOBODY will Give a Shit how GAY Michael Sam is, if he's BALLIN'...

YOU Got Mentrual, Calling it "Ridiculous", as if it was a Statement REED was Etching in Stone...

w/Out Question, Sam's STORY is Assisting Him, but he CAN Play a Little Bit...He'll NEVER Be All-Pro or Even the BEST Pass Rusher on his Team, but it's NOT Out of the Realm of Possibility for him to Have a 5-7 Year NFL Career...

    Time will Tell...

Yeah, I don't know how Sam's story assisted him. He was a projected 4th rounder before he came out. Most likely a team who wants to nurture a future pass rusher takes him and tries to develop him. 4th rounders don't normally get cut.

Teams are basically worried about the Tebow effect that he will bring.

He should have waited until his NFL career got under way to come out.

Perhaps, but ALREADY, he's Gotten OVER Whatever "Stigma" There Was w/Being Gay, in REED's Opinion...

The Rams DIDN'T Cut Sam Because of his Sexuality...@ the Same Time, REED is CONVINCED Jeff Fisher DIDN'T Want to Retain Sam's Services JUST BECAUSE he's Gay...Fisher Isn't a "Publicity Stunt" Coach & Gave Sam an HONEST Evaluation, Which is COMMENDABLE...Problem is, The Rams are Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeper than Atlantis, @ the 1 Position Sam Can CONTRIBUTE...

    Sooooo, he Got CUT...

Putting it MILDLY, Michael Sam was Under the MICROSCOPE, this Pre-Season...But Considering his Circumstances & BAGGAGE, it's Clear Dude PERFORMED, On the Field...He's Proven he's NOT Just "Some GAY Guy Trying to Play Football"...@ This Point, Interested Teams are SERIOUSLY Considering his Pass Rushing Potential 1st...

& if the Team ISN'T Afraid of Some Extra Media Coverage, it's a Win-Win Scenario...

Wipe away the tears, Reed. It's football season. Save them for when the Cowboys play.

The bottom line is, Sam won't get double digit sacks in his career, much less in a season.

Considering how Jerry Jones is a shameless media whore, it's not surprising Sam found his way to Dallas.

Bottom line is, he performed well enough to get a shot to play in the NFL. Like REED said, the Rams are loaded at that position so I don't have an issue with them not getting him on the practice team.

When I hear "all he can do is rush the passer" I immediately think of Buddy Ryan's famous quote about Cris Carter "all he does is catch touchdowns." A ridiculous quote but the reality was, he was more concerned with Carter's off the field stuff than on the field. Which the same holds true for Sam.

Let's see what he does with his chance. I hope he plays well enough to make the regular squad and goes on to have a decent career.
