Now's your chance to put your money where your mouth is, Rubio is a 200 to 1 underdog

Oh and Gaybox is much, much cuter than Rubio.

Rubio is awful though. This matchup just perpetuates the charge that ggg hasn't fought anyone. Come sunday, ggg still won't have fought anyone.

Regarding canelo, sure, he's taken the issue of ggg head on by saying he will fight him. But if you read the fine print, he actually says he would fight him in the next few years.

Ggg has opponent problems. As much as I like him, he's going to have to start owning that problem very soon, either by taking short money, moving up in weight...or, if he had a real promoter, a credible opponent could be built alongside him.

Another joke fight. Rubio has little to no chance.

I'm more interested in the Donaire-Walters fight. That should be the main event.

    "Hasn't fought anyone" ... "a joke" ...

Yet I never hear of the middleweight he's supposedly ducking and I am certain the people who continuously parrot this shit wouldn't bet against him against any middleweight on Earth

How can a guy be maligned for his opponents while people simultaneously refuse to put forth the challenger they wish for him to face that would prove to them his worth?

I think basically the cuteness of GGG is revealing insecurities among some of our brethren... They can't stand that such a cutie pie could also be a killing machine

Is it just me or does GGG look like he could be related to Tszyu?

Because he keeps feasting on smaller fighters, jr. MW and shitty competition. He could've moved up and chased a big fight already. It's not that difficult to get a fight with Froch, even Abraham or Kessler even though they're shot. Geale, Adama, Stevens and Macklin, those are his last 4 opponents yet he's never been this hyped before in his career. He's very good, he's the best in his division but he should stop waiting for the Canelos and Cottos of the world and move up.

    Question REED...

Were these guys saying the same about Roy during his prime or were they slagging him for his competition.

    What says REED?

On second thought, I will amend my position to appease the GayBoys.

This is the greatest test of his career. A win makes him a Hall of Fame lock.

GGG Could "Prove his Worth" in Half a Heartbeat, by Facing Andre Ward...

GGG Lovers Bash Undersized Middleweights like Cotto, Martinez and Potentially Canelo. for Keeping their Man Out of the Big Fight Picture, yet they Frown Upon a Guy that Would Instantly Add CREDIBILITY to Golovkin's Case, Because he Resides a Mere 8 Pounds North...

No Doubt, Roy'd Comp was Criticized. If he'd Hung Around 168 WAITING for Middleweights, Roy and his Fans Would've NEVER Heard the End of it.

Instead, Roy Moved Up and FRIED Bigger Fish...

Whatever Rubio is or isn't, he's way, way too good to be a 200 to 1 underdog. I would gladly back this up, but I don't have a betting account anywhere.

difference being jones jr was fighting bums his dad lined up from his third fight on until he faced castro. golovkin simply has no willing middleweights among those who would be/would have been decent tests (murray, martinez a few years ago, quillin, pirog)

Blasphemy. Similar ethnic origin aside - Tszyu is one of the ugliest humans I've ever seen, and Gaybox is one of the cutest.

Gaybox is a beast, but I do agree with this. Rubio is a very solid, gatekeeper type fighter. A capable enough fighter at world level, he shouldn't be a 200 to 1 underdog against anyone around middleweight.

Rubio overweight, but Gaybox being the fearless warrior that he is, agreed to fight anyway.

Rubio is docked $50,000 for each pound overweight, plus a $100,000 base purse penalty.

Seems a bit fucking mental, I wouldn't have thought Rubio's purse would be much more than $150,000 or so.

    Rubio sucks.

And there's nothing inconsistent or contradictory about saying ggg hasn't fought anyone without mentioning who he should fight, or whether there's anyone I'd pick over him.

And I personally don't think it's his fault, but the longer he's in the spotlight without a signature win, the more blame he's going to have to shoulder.

    Uuuuuh, Castro was Roy's 18th Fight...Golovkin's had 30 Fights...

By the 30th Bout of his Career, Roy had ALREADY Faced BHop AND Toney...GGG Has yet to Even APPROACH that Caliber of Fighter...Even AFTER That, Haters STILL Bitched & Moaned about Roy Residing @ '68, so What did he Do???...He MOVEDthefuckUP to '75...

GGG's Gonna HAVE to Move Up in the Next Bout or 2, if Shit DOESN'T Pan Out as he Hopes...

At the time of his 30th fight, the current linear middleweight champion, Miguel Cotto, had already faced guys like Randall Bailey, Paul Malignaggi, Carlos Quintana and Zab Judah and was scheduled to fight Shane Mosley next.

Yet nobody was claiming he was the best at his weight class.
