Na, but seriously, he looked ok. He got shaken a little bit and started a bit negative, but I'd need to see more to accurately gauge him
I'd bet the farm on him to knock out trash-Khan. He showed he can counter with a quick left hook that has pop on it. That's ALL you need to beat Khan't.
We gotta see him fight again. Sometimes guys can look like nothing special talents for years, and it all it takes is one coming out fight. We saw that with Ward, who NEVER looked special prior to the Kessler fight, then beat the crap outta Kessler and took off. Am I saying Ali is as talented as Ward? Fuck no! But he did destroy a man who had only previously lost in a decision to Timmy the Head. Kinda highlights Bradley's utter LACK of power that he couldn't take out a guy as chinny as Abregu.
I thought Ali was going to lose last night for sure. But he impressed. He handled abregu easier than bradley did. And his defense was sound. Trying to think who he reminds me of.
He doesn't remind me of anybody. And to be honest, I didn't think he's special. I wouldn't pick him over Thurman, or Kell Brook. He looks a lot better than Shawn Porter though.
To be honest I don't think he even looked good last night. So no, he won't make any noise at 147, he'll get beaten up by any top welterweight.
ali is lucky he was fighting on this particular card. hopkins camp made sure there was no stringent drug testing.
both. hopkins is old as fuck and clearly been talking some hGH. ali had severe backne and all of a sudden looked way better than usual
Abregu apparently struggled badly to make weight. I have seen Ali fight in the past and he wasn't very impressive. If he steps up again he will get blasted soon. He's OK, but nowhere near the top of 147.
