Cotto right now beats Canelo, possibly stops him late...

They could fight in June in the second biggest fight of the year...This is the fight Cotto needs in his career, huge payday before he goes into rematches with Floyd and Pacquaio when those two are done fighting each other...Perfect timing for him.

In an ideal world, Floyd vs Pac happens on May 5th with Cotto-Canelo on the undercard. That would be extra huge, but will never happen as both fights can do big numbers on seperate shows.

The only way I can see Cotto avoiding Alvarez is if he thinks by doing so he'll get Mayweather. If that doesn't happen I'm pretty sure he'll fight Canelo as it's the next biggest money fight out there for him.

I think we all know that's not going to happen.

NO for the first time in a long time...Cotto is being smart about his career. Why fight Ginger for $10-15 million....when he can wait an see if FLOYD ducks Pacquiao n instead decided to rematch Cotto for THE Middeweight championship of the world....n 20+million dolla...

i agree. its more money and he wont get KOd by mayweather jr so afterward the fight with alvarez will still be on the table. i think he smashes alvarez, but if he were to lose the mayweather jr fight is gone forever

$40 million is the amount that he was rumored to get, but turned out to be not true. Anyway, now Cotto's camp are mentioning Timothy Bradley as an alternate opponent.

Yep, the MW division is in great shape!!! Stevie Wonder gets more of a look in his neighbours window than Golovkin does the MW title.
