Will Floyd be rated among the greatest or Pacquiao's prior KO defeat will minimize Floyd's accomplishment? :dunno:

The latter. Almost a no-win situation for Floyd.

In fact every mayweather fight is a no-win...because if he beats them in a struggle, he's a cunt....and if he beats them easily, the opponent's a cunt (like Canelo).

The best thing for Mayweather's legacy, and standing among his haters in this fight is if it is a high level war, in which Mayweather shows a great deal of skill and finesse and is slightly ahead on points, but Pacquiao has a great deal of success and has Floyd bloodied and even flash KD'd at least once, but Floyd tough's it out and beats him down in the stretch and stops him late. Basically a Trinidad-Vargas type deal. That way Pacquiao wont be called washed up and Floyd would get the credit.

That sounds like a great scenario. Unfortunately Floyd lacks the cojones to deliver anything resembling that kind of scuffle. He has to take care of his face...and his cars!

Perhaps you never saw the following fights:

    Mayweather- Mosley
    Mayweather-Burton (Augustus)
    Mayweather-Hatton
    Mayweather-Catillo 1 (damaged shoulder)
    Mayweather-Ndou
    Mayweather-Cotto

Perhaps you've never actually watched Mayweather fight. There's a thought.....

I have been watching Mayweather fights since when he was still a young prospect, way before the Genaro Hernandez title fight. Unlike many of his fans, I did not started noticing him after the DLH fight. :FU!:

Well then you should know that he has it in him to tough it out if the situation demands it. He's not some pretty boy that shies away from adversity.

Are we talking about the same 'Mr. Safety-First' Floyd Mayweather Jr?

Did he look safety first in his fight against Mosley? What about the others I listed?

Floyd has become more watchable again recently, he stands his ground more these days.

*groans* He didn't have to dig deep and resort to pure cojones in any of those bouts; there were only one or two brief sporadic moments were he seemed buzzed for a few seconds, but nothing serious. On the other hand, did you watched the first Maidana fight?? where were his cojones? e just used his brains to outpoint Maidana, a bum no on thought deserved to be in the same ring with Floyd in the first place.

    *groans* back at ya.

Mosley hurt him, we agree? Did Floyd run away in safety first mode for the rest of the night? I seem to recall him being the aggressor....and Shane back-pedalling.

Burton. Burton was the bigger man that night. Was Floyd running and potshotting? I seem to recall him standing his ground and beating him down.

Hatton. You saw Floyd running away from Hatton trying to keep his hands clean? I saw Floyd beating him down and stopping him.

Cotto. No blood on Floyd? No cojones? I saw him hang on the ropes, take punishment and return fire for a large part of that fight

He may have no had to "dig deep" the way a guy like Gatti has had to do in his fights...but that's because Floyd is better. Nevertheless, he's shown the willingness to fight it out when teh situation has demanded it.

Mosley hurt him and then did NOTHING. Stupid ass let him clear his head.
Burton was the bigger...pussy. That was a walk in the park for Floyd.
Hatton was there to be taken and only his rabid fans thought he had a chance against Floyd.
True, Cotto was his most competitive opponent and produced a cut, but the outcome was never in question as Floyd was the better boxer all night. Besides a couple of rounds, Cotto was nowhere near wining the bout much less hurt Floyd.
