Considering the performance and the level of the opponent, I'd rank them like this

    Pac
    1. Barrera I
    2. Hatton
    3. Morales II
    4. Cotto
    5. Diaz (was a bum but Pacwas damn good here)
    honorable mentions DLH and Margarito

    PBF
    1. Corrales
    2. Hatton
    3. NDou
    4. Manfredy (the ease)
    5. Canelo
    also, Marquez, Baldomir, Hernandez

Actually if he hadn't ducked everybody the list of Floyd's best performances would probably remain the same.

Honorable mention to PBF-Bruseles. Having a conversation with the announcers while you are beating teh crap out of your opponent, is noteworthy. Very few fighters in history could have done that. It has nothing to do with how good or not good bruseles is in the opinion of the forum. Bruseles was a ranked fighter in a title fight....it takes a special talent to be able to do that.

It's like Ali, carrying guys like Patterson, Terrell, Cooper and dispatching them whenever he wanted or else torturing them deliberately for 15 rounds. These abilities are often overlooked by boxing fans. Very few have the complete control to be able to do that...even over limited opposition.

Margarito was a damn good win for Pac. Margarito's size was ridiculous.

Agreed, I've always said so, despite how scrubby he is without his magic wraps.

Just like Jones Vs Ruiz, P4P neither opponent came close, but the size difference was literally absurd, and there are obviously weight classes for a reason.

And it's not like he scrubbed out a boring, contentious win over him, he beat the utter shit out of him round after round, shattered his eye socket, and effectively ended his career.

Nah. He was extremely preachy during the presser today. I don't get down with athletes on the God Squad.

Pac vs DLH was ridiculous in that they should not have allowed DLH to fight. He dehydrated so much that he needed an IV right before the fight. He was a zombie in there

Agreed. That irritated the hell out of me. Don't bring God into this hurt business.

It's ok what Floyd does and I admire him for it, "First of all I'd like to thank God for without him this wouldn't be possible" or words to that effect. He says that all the time and gives God honour (whether you believe in or or not it's a nice gesture). Then he leaves it at that! Pacquiao wants to pretend he's some televangelist who is saving souls. Screw that. Boxing and that stuff doesn't mix. In boxing you are out to hurt your opponent for money...do not be preaching.

Annoys me no end.....I want Pacquiao knocked out in the worst way now. THE WORST WAY!

Actually, on second thought, I'd rate Floyd's Gatti performance over Hatton.

Yes, I realize Hatton was a MUUCCHH better fighter than Gatti, but Floyd in the Gatti fight was really at the very peak of both his athletic gifts and skills.

Floyd in the Hatton fight was probably nearing the tail end of his physical peak. In fact, that fight WAS the end of Floyd's physical peak.

Once he came back against Marquez, he was still sharp as ever, but his athleticism was never really the same after that 1.5 layoff after the Hatton fight.

Floyd's reason for not praising God is very simple - he thinks he is God.

Gatti was undoubtedly one of Floyd's best performances. People look to Ali's performance against Williams so why not look to Floyd's against Gatti. Gatti was a decent fighter...just not one of the elite. Floyd made him look as though he had never boxed a second before in his life. True virtuoso performance.

Floyd always gives God credit. He does it respectfully and keeps it brief. I respect that. Pacquiao goes overboard.
