You have Tyson who lost just about everything he got from boxing. You have Roy who sadly keeps on fighting (and losing) against scrubbage for dollars and cents. Floyd is already the most successful boxer of all time. He's obviously the better (even in a p4p context, he probably beats both) and historically greater fighter, but he's hardly as flashy or electrifying as either one. In a way, you have to laugh at this.
Actually it's the irony of it all that's funny. In retrospect, Roy's "business model" (the latter part of his career anyway) doesn't seem all that different from Mayweather's, and yet Floyd is now the sports richest fighter. It's arguably the same for Mike. And both are now broke. No wonder they're visibly resentful of his success.
Tyson is not envious of Mayweather...TYSON hates/dislike Mayweather for personal reason(May is a douche) there is a thread about what happen between them. 10-15 years from now TYSON will still be love...and Floyd would be look upon as a cunty, scared little man....
Roy sure didn't sound bitter to me during commentary.. seeing how biased he was towards Floyd alongside the fag Lampley. Like he wanted to have Floyd's kids or something.
Roy is broke? Well Floyd will be broke in about 5 years after his career is done. He actually once threw away $15 million on a bet. He'll go the route of all the broke boxers before him.
After this payday, it would take a feat of remarkable dumbassery for Floyd to go broke. Which he probably is capable of, but he has a ton of money invested now and with the sheer amount of cash he's received for the Pacquiao fight, he's pretty much set for the rest of his life & so are his kids.
There's that word..."invested". There has to be a reason why 99% of boxers end up broke despite retiring with millions. All it took was for people to see how floyd handles his money. Won't be surprised when he's making a comeback 3 years after retirement or ends up in prison
by the logic of this thread Tyson and Roy should be envious of every boxer that is currently richer than they are :scratcher:
You're a fuckin tard. For one, if anything, Roy has historically been more biased FOR Floyd than against him. Does Roy believe inside that in his youth he was better than Floyd? I'm sure he does. Does he wish he became the type of crossover star Floyd is? I'm sure he does wish that. And if Roy's prime came during the social media age, I do feel like he'd have been a bigger star than what he was, because he was more charismatic/articulate than Floyd and DAMN SURE more entertaining for casual fans to watch. But he's never displayed bias AGAINST Floyd. What's more laughable is Tyson being envious of Floyd. Don't let Floyd having a higher net worth fool you - Mike Tyson is STILL a bigger universal star than Floyd will EVER be. And Tyson will ALWAYS be a star til he dies. Floyd will be forgotten about 3-5 years after he retires. Casual fans wanna fuckin forget him ALREADY. Get Floyd's cock out your mouth.
I'm not sure exactly what Roy's HBO salary is, but I'm sure it's enough to where he doesn't have to worry about where his next meal is coming from. Floyd groupies are JUST like him - they believe his net worth rules all.
Three or four years ago I know he was hit with a tax lien of $3 million from income earned the year he faced Ruiz. I can't WAIT to see Floyd's tax troubles. Will be spectacular.
This thread is about Floyd. start your own tax poor Manny thread. Manny's case is different. He has paid taxes in the U.S. and the Phillipines didn't want to honor it and wanted their share. So essentially he'd get taxed twice.
Look at Nell, tell everybody how fucked Manny is and how rich Floyd is. The guy is a maggot in Mayweathers lower-gut.
I figured that was probably the case but it's still odd to me how many fighters end up owing money in taxes years later. I can fully understand a young fighter with his first big payday blowing a pile of cash and having it bite them in the ass come tax time. Year after year when you've already had run ins with the authorities previously though?
exactly 10 years ago i was ringside for the gratist fite of are times. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Gi0C-XAwmuk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
