The world has been poluted beyond repair and mankind is forced to leave earth in search for another solar system. They find a new star with 12 planets and hundreds of moons. Many planets have been terraformed. The alliance controls almost everything. Then there are the rebels who do not agree with them. This movie is about a group of rebels in a space ship that are fighting the alliance. I enjoyed it a lot. Very good action scenes. I give the movie an 8/10.
I know that this film is sort of a sequel to the tv series Firely from Joss Whedon. I tried to watch it a few years ago, but the first 15 minutes didn't hold my attention, so I quit watching it.
