Ah, why not. Still better then most network sitcoms nowadays, no matter how dated it might seem. Weird they picked two episodes from the later, weaker seasons, but what the hell, it's only for an hour. I might actually watch if they brought back some of the old "Honeymooner" episodes. That show is still pretty genius.
Around christmas that two others. And it looked Great. It was strange to me tho. But on HD and in nice color, it's just crazy. Always wondered what color certain things were and now I know.
I might check it only to see if colorization has improved. I still have not seen a colorized black & white film or tv show that doesn't look plain crappy.
So this is the special. Now in this clip, the color isnt as vibrant, because it's not HD. But when you watch it in HD, it looks even better than this, which looks pretty good. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7DilsrxNJyY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
This one actually looks worse because this idiot filmed his TV with a cam corder and then uploaded. But you can see that if you had an HD television, this would look great. CBS really did an amazing job. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/E9zR93XrCTA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I read that the people producing the colorization purposely went for ' vintage color popular in the 50's' which is a lot of crap to dissimulate they couldn't do better.
The Honeymooners is still the funniest show to ever be on TV. Jackie Gleason had more humor in a simple facial expression than most actors have in their entire career. TFK
