I keep on hearing good things about this flick. Don't think I'll get to see it while it's out though.

Apparently this movie is VERY real to life. I dont want to be in a position where some nut in the theater gets crazy over some cartel bullshit. I will watch this at home.

I just saw this. Fucking amazing. It means more to me and people living on a border state, but it still so fucking real. Del Toro was very good.

    9/10.

8/10....VERY GOOD..It was gritty...2 hour movie but it felt shorter..it moved fast didn't waste any scenes. Del Toro was a beast..I wish they had gone into more of his backstory of what happen to his wife/daughter...backflashes or whatever...and I also wish the story was more complex...it was simple, straight to the point...in a good way..but still I wanted MOREEEE...

Sicario Now this is what I call a brilliant film, unlike that overrated remake that DiCaprio starred in. The performances are top notch, particularly Benicio Del Toro who deserved a freaking Academy Award nomination, but no Hispanics will be boycotting the Oscars for that. The cinematography is excellent particularly those helicopter shots. The music is as a big player here as the characters. Great plot and excellent direction. I am watching this again. 9/10

Del toro deserves a nomination? Hell no. He was bad ass, but that's it. It's not like he acted his ass of or anything.

Watched this last night. Had some good set-pieces in it but I never felt that much drama from it.
Acting was okay, to be honest.

Definately not what I expected given all the amazing reviews...

I gave it a 8/10 and I meant that rating. HOWEVER, I don't think it's all that re-watchable. It's EXCELLENT for one viewing though.

Better than The Revenant? I don't see it. I'd re-watch The Revenant before I re-watch Sicario.

Really 8 and 9 out of ten? I agree it doesn't have reachability but then it really doesn't have watchability IMO. All this movie basically is is watching a government group go out on a few missions without ever explaining or discussing what or why they're doing it until the end, and even then it's not totally explained what is going on. There is also very little dialogue. I didn't like the action scenes either because it was basically just watching Special Forces level guys murdering Mexican thugs and criminals. I can't think of one redeeming quality of this film, other then it looked good and had a pretty cool soundtrack. I thought the lead actress was flat and boring until I realized they gave her very little to work with. Brolin and Benicio were pretty good because they both ooze charisma but even they couldn't save this horrible film. After it ended I felt like I had wasted my evening. 5.5/10.

7/10 IMO. I agree with some of your review, I just didn't really care for the characters much, it's a pretty emotionless movie, more about action that characters.
