Well it's official! This is going to be the fight of 2015 for sure. I have this 50/50. I cant decide who is going to win. It can go either way IMO.

Hopefully Canelo beats him up because only one of these fighters is man enough to share the ring with GGG.

Fantastic promo btw. Great use of music.

Potential Corrales-Castillo in terms of action.

Miggy would indeed destroy the 19-year-old Canelo from that fight.

Somebody up a video of Cotto-Torres.

No way in Holy Hell. You're talking about the greatest fight of our time and one of the best fights of all time period.

    Canelo-Cotto won't be Trinidad-Vargas great, let alone Corrales-Castillo great.

It'll be a damn good fight though, and the more exciting it is favors Canelo.

You mean the fight where cotto destroyed Torres? You talking about Torres who prior to Cotto was undefeated and knocked out 99% of his opponents?
Why compare that fight with a jose cotto fight that went the distance?

    Canelo stopped Cotto's brother.

I just mean it's pretty stupid to reference that fight when Alvarez was only 19, and clearly not as development or filled out as he is now.

I agree. Perhaps I'm getting too excited.

The action of the fight will depend on Cotto's mentality. If Cotto is riding high on confidence due to destroying Martinez and comes to hurt Canelo, it'll be a great great fight. But if Cotto comes in as the slick boxer, being careful (which he's known to have done in the past) then it may disappoint.

I think Canelo's style will get worked out by the more experienced and versatile Cotto - unless Canelo decides to war it out, then I favour Canelo to blast him outta there.

But I reckon Cotto will land hard and early, make Canelo think too much and put Canelo into his one dimensional style , where Cotto outboxes him to a close but clear decision.

I agree - but if Canelo plays into a boxing game, he'll get outboxed. I think he has to go to war and blast Cotto outta there, as a good Mexican should attempt.

I'm more excited about this fight than I have been for any fight in the last 5 years not called Mayweather-Pacquiao.

Cotto already mentioned all he needs to do is be smart to beat Canelo. This brings me to believe the game plan is to box smart and occasionally attack to keep Canelo honest. Miguel definitely has the skill set to pull it off and is the smart choice at this stage of his career. Canelo may have to force Cotto into a brawl I think.
