Avengers Age of Ultron: The prequel to the Terminator and Matrix Franchises that could have been?

So....Ultron was basically an Artificial intelligence that spawned an entire race of machines and decided the fate of mankind in a microsecond. Ultron basically had the strength and invulnerability of a Terminator....and when he tried to upload himself into a human body...he would have been pretty much exactly that....a cyborg.

So I had been waiting patiently for years to get a true prequel/sequel to the Terminator Franchise (and Matrix by extension)...and little did we known that the Marvel Cinematic Universe unwittingly provided just that.
