Oscar is half a fag, and generally overrated as Hell during his time....

    But he's not wrong....

I got to the 5th paragraph. It looked like a pretty accurate assessment, i just dont care. Clearly it's a diss letter. Maybe angling for a fight between the two, but he said nothing that we all dont know and agree with.

Well, this is some stupid butthurt letter. He's right about most things but the fact that he took the effort to write and publish that letter shows how much he plain hates Floyd. What he really hates about him is that he never showed him respect. Floyd just plain dismissed him like he was insignificant and THEN he took DLH's spotlight and attention. DLH was just as opportunistic as him when it came to handpicking his opponents, so IDK what the fuck he's talking about.

Floyd's ENTIRE M.O. was to Become the "Next Oscar Dela Hoya"....That's Precisely WHY he Signed w/Bob Arum Out of the Olympics...Floyd was Borderline OBSESSED w/DeLa, Earlier in his Career...

DeLa was Flippant about Floyd, Then the Tables Turned, After Floyd Beat Him...Nonetheless, Even as Floyd Portrayed Himself as "My Own Boss", his Fights were Under the "Golden Boy Promotions" Umbrella...From Floyd-DeLa Up to (& Including) Floyd-Cotto, if REED's Not Mistaken...

Floyd was a BETTER/GREATER Fighter, but there's No Doubt DeLa Fought Guys that Posed More of a Legit THREAT to Him, @ '47...So While DeLa WAS Opportunistic in his Own Right, he DIDN'T Cherry Pick to the Degree Floyd Did....

I'm not so sure that FLoyd is a better fighter than Oscar. I liked FLoyd style a lot more, but the close nature of their encounter make me wonder if a fresher Oscar wouldn't have been too much for Floyd

Best version of Oscar beats Floyd at welter, but overall Floyd is better.

Prime Oscar was a better welterweight and junior middleweight than Floyd.

Floyd's best came at 130-140 pounds.

Mosley 1 was a great fight i agree. vargas was good. mayorga not so much. quartey fight was not an action fight at all. mayweather jr has had more exciting ppv fights to me than delahoya has. though none as good as Mosley 1

I think the best matchup for Floyd vs DLH prime for prime would be at 140. 140 was Oscar's best weight, and Floyd's second best weight. Arguably Floyd peaked at 140.

Floyd's PPV's have been shit with the exception of Hatton, and Cotto.

DLH-Quartey was a fight that was doomed from the beginning, since it was hyped to be the next Leonard-Hearns 1. Obviously, it wasn't that, but it was STILL a better fight than any Floyd PPV fight, including Cotto.

Floyd's most fun performances came in his PBF days on HBO. His PPV career was 90% boring.

Actually, I forgot the Gatti fight was PPV. Okay, Floyd has three fun PPV performances.

You must be kidding me. Floyd is definitely not known for producing "exciting" fights.

Floyd has produced some virtuoso performances that are highly re-watchable, like Chico, Ndou, Gatti, Hatton, Hernandez, and Jesus Chavez.

He's also been in horribly BORING fights as well. Most of them since he became Money May, but he had a few duds as PBF too. The Baldomir fight was TERRIBLLLEEEE. The Castillo rematch was pretty fuckin boring, and the Victor Sosa fight was boring as Hell.

Floyd and Oscar's careers are opposite in the sense that as Oscar grew more popular and made more money he fought better guys and took more risks.

After Floyd had his scare against Castillo in the first fight he went the opposite way.

Which says everything because that happened in 2002.
