I have a bad feeling about this one. Roc Nation and GB are thinking it's gonna do between 1-2 mil buys, but I'm not seeing it. I'm just not feeling the mainstream buzz in this one. Hardcores like us LOVVEEE it. Obviously, Ricans and Mexicans are excited for it, but I don't think anybody else gives a shit. Pac-Cotto did 1.2 mil buys 6 years ago, and I don't see this fight with the same mainstream buzz or attention that fight had. Pac at that time was a MUCH bigger global star than Canelo is currently. I think Oscar severely overrates Canelo's star power. I'm predicting PPV buys in the 800's. At BEST, in the 900's. At worst, 700's. I really, really doubt it's gonna break 1 mil. Hope I'm wrong... Thanks Floyd, for fucking up everything!
Goldie is predicting this will be the second biggest PPV in history. Based on that statement I'm quite confident in saying he's back on drugs.
He says the most ridiculous things in boxing promotion history. Arum and DK were both liars, but they never made statements that made you say "The FUCCKKKK did he just say???"
Yep. Prior to Khan-Maidana, Oscar was also saying that Amir was a better fighter than Cotto in his prime . athetic:
Not a shot in Hell. GB and Roc nation are dreaming. This fight has gotten ZERO mainstream build-up, and usually you see a lot more of that for fights that break a mil.
