I which HBO would FORCE fighters to get on the scale before EVERY FIGHT!!! ....but I guess HBO, promoters, fighters don't want to look like douche bags if their man comes in 20-30 pounds over the offical weigh in weight.

I think for the Lemieux fight...GGG did get on teh scale on fight night...he was 168? I think....

Golov is a heavy handed fighter...but he's not a one punch KO Artist. He doesn't have Benn, McLellan, Jackson or Hearns power. He wins by accumulation of punishment more than one punch power. He's kinda a large Chavez.

Canelo's is very difficult to knock out..if his opponent relies on accumulation of punishment. One: he's not that easy to hit. Two: his own power and accuracy keeps his opponent's honest. Three: he has a solid chin. Like it or not, Canelo would be the best fighter GGG has faced to date. GGG wont just walk through him the way he has other opponents.

BUT...GGG is bigger and better so he will win. But it'll be a tough fight for him.

I don't see how anything here is anti-GGG?

Canelo lacks the power to end GGG's night early and he lacks the speed to land enough on GGG to wear him down.

Canelo has hope because he is a superb, natural fighter who will land on GGG and unlike some lesser guys who GGG didn't mind getting hit by, Canelo's shot placement and ability to land more than one at a time and to the body might give us a 'oh GGG got hurt there' moment or so. However, Canelo isn't likely to avoid GGG enough. I don't see it ending early, but it could end late. I'll take GGG by clear decision, but he will lose at least 3 rounds.

Oscar is MAD AS HELL that Bradley beat Rios. They were banking on Rios winning that fight, or at least putting up a good fight.

Canelo-Rios is the fight Oscar wanted next. He wanted to put that gross mismatch in Cowboy Stadium in May.

Would love to see this one in May. But I don't think it'll happen either. Will Canelo even defend or just say I've won the Middleweight Title but I'm really a Super-welter, vacate the title and go back and wait for Garcia, Crawford, Thurman, etc...?

    You a mind reader now?

If Oscar was happy to put Lemieux in front of GGG, he'd put Canelo in front of him.

Canelo-GGG or Canelo-Money May. Don't care to see him against anyone else in his next fight....and in fact I don't have any interest in a Mayweather rematch.

I don't give a shit to see boring ass Floyd ever step in a boxing ring again. Golov-Canelo is the only compelling fight to be made at middle.

This will surprise you: I agree.

    Floyd needs to stay retired.

Canelo obviously has a Chavez Jr. type size advantage against anyone at 154. This is clear. He needs to move up in weight.

I won't be THAAATTT harsh on Canelo. Size is literally THE only thing Chumpez has. He has zero talent. Canelo has good talent, but obviously his size plays a factor.

Oscar took risks as a fighter once he fought Trinidad. Why wouldn't he with Canelo?

Hell, Canelo has already fought Erislandy Lara, a guy who is a difficult fight for anyone and that would have been for far less money.

It's no secret is what GB WANTED next was Canelo-Rios. I'm not pulling that out my ass as Sly thinks, Team Rios said they had been contacted about Canelo fight had Rios beat Bradley.

Now with Rios shot and retired, they gotta go in a different direction.

If not GGG, what they SHOULD make is Canelo-Lemieux in the spring. Let Lemieux have one tune-up to build back his confidence, then let's see that fight. Lemieux comes into the ring at 175, so Nelo won't have his usual size edge.
