WTF? Miguel Cotto, the former Ring champion, loses the belt via decision to Canelo in a close fight and is eliminated from the top ten, but Lemioux loses via KO and only drops one spot? Shame on Oscar! :pissed:

I am pretty sure the reason is that Cotto has announced he isn't going to fight as a middleweight. Otherwise of course he would remain on the list

He hasn't made any announcement whatsoever.
This is DeLaHoya's magazine anyway. He was mad at Cotto and I am sure he ordered to have Cotto's name removed from all their lists.

Not tossing $1.1 million from his purse at his compadre Sulaiman Jr and his protégé Golovkin thus being stripped of the WBC belt and 'hurting' the event 2 days before the bout. I am sure DLH will blame Cotto for the lower than predicted ppv buys.

Yeah I don't see it. The Ring's rankings have never been perfect but removing somebody from a list in a particular weight class is not unprecedented for them.

I have never seen the champion that just lost his belt being removed from their list unless same boxer announced is retiring.

Yeah. Its an absolutely ridiculous and unjustifiable decision , considering that the fight cotto lost was close, and that middleweight is a dump. No doubt that some politic is involved

    This isn't 1990.

The Ring has ZERO credibility anymore, so who gives a shit? They could rank Camacho Jr. #3 at middleweight for all I care.
