At least according to Papa Porter.

Thurman still hasn't agreed to the fight it seems.

Either Thurman is holding out for a bigger fight, or he's just scared.

Thurman is really disappointing if he's ducking a scrub like Porter.

And Porter is a bigger mainstream name than EJ. Perhaps Thurman demanded 15 mil...

Shane Mosley was a bigger star back in 2000 than Thurman and he got 4 million to face prime Oscar 147 lbs... At least I believe that's what it was, correct me if I'm wrong.

How in the hell does Thurman figure that fighting the likes of Spence or anyone else would entitle him to such a crazy pay day??

    Dude is off.

I think that body shot by Collazo may have let "One Time" know it was almost time to cash out.

Getting harder and harder to defend Thurman. Did Louie Collazo's body shot spook him for fighting a real fighter?

Hey Porter, I'm sure there is one welter who'd be willing to step in for Thurman...

You make it seem like he showed willingness "before" the collazo fight.

Yeah but would Porter be willing to fight him? After all he's saying there's "no plan b."

I know that will change but I'm not so confident he'd face "The Truth."

Porter is one guy who has shown the willingness to face top guys. Not sure why there should be any presumption he would ducm anyone. And besides have not heard Spence call Porter out. Unlike Spence, Porter has managed to face some top guys in his division's

I hope your right... And if Khan-Brook gets made this summer, then Porter-Spence should be a makeable fight.

I don't see it being that competitive but it will quiet doubters that Spence isn't elite.

Double is weird. He loves Porter and his style, and hates Brook and his style, even though Brook schooled Porter in a fight where Porter did most the grappling.

Porter's style is ugly. Hard for me to watch.

What does that have to do with it? Porter has fought and beaten better competition than Spence. For you to insinuate Porter is ducking Spence is absurd.

And Brook in no way schooled Porter. That is a total fabrication of what actually happened.

I had it 8-4 Brook. Not a shut out but he definitely outboxed him.

Ok. Well. All I saw was brook hold everytime porter got close. Does brook not know how to fight inside? Hardly a schooling. He controlled porter with incessant holding. Not out boxed him. Not in my book.

That honestly does not matter to me. I like porter because unlike almost every other fighter in his division (save for pacquiao), Porter is willing to fight anyone.

    1. Explain the countless right hand leads Brook busted Porter in the face with all night.

    2. An elite pressure would figure out a guy like Brook despite the clinching. Do you think Brook's tactics would work if he was P4P in with a guy like Gonzalez, Golov, or Kov? Hell no. Porter is easy to neutralize cuz he can't fuckin box to save his life.

    I had it 9-3 honestly.

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't some beautiful masterclass like Benitez-Duran. It was simply a case of guy who knows how to box easily neutralizing an NFL player.

    Brook's performance was horrible.

As far as 1&2, this is the typical pattern with you: You imply I have made some claim which I have not, and then proceed to debate it. Feel free to have a debate with yourself but please stop putting words in my mouth.

I never said Brooks did not land any punches. And I never said Porter belonged on a pound for pound list. What is your point saying Porter's is not as good as Gonzalez or Golov? I'mean sorry did anyone ever (let alone me) imply that?

Look at all the clean right hands from Brook plus all the clinching initiated by none other than Mr. Porter himself.

Yeah I could see that. 4 rounds is maybe being a little generous to Porter who just didn't do anything other than maul.

I just can't fathom how some can conjure up the idea that this was somehow a controversial decision.

    Brook UNCONTROVERSIALLY whooped Porter's ass.

Huh? Porter is landing just as much in there. And Porter is the one coming forward but that does not mean he is initiating the holding.

Porter is awful to watch. He is the common denominator in all his fights being eye sores
