Did the WBC put in a reminder that Canelo is the draw?

If Team Canelo CARES @ All About the Belt, They'll Pay the WBC Some "Shut The Fuck Up" Money, Which Will Result in an "Extension" Being Granted...

    Dude:
that is exactly how the WBC and Sulaiman Jr make their income. They just make this press statements to save face from critics by pretending that they take their own rules seriously only to later make a hypocrite admission of 'we are granting both camps more time to reach an agreement' which in many cases one of the camps denounces as bullshit and protecting their Mexican darling.

Not yet. They still need to hear if long time middleweight contender Adrien Broner is available.

CANELO thinks the FANS pressure will be OFF him now...since he gave up that trinket....NOT GOING TO HAPPEN...just because GGG said he need his belt...title/belt.....and CANELO willingly drop the belt..won't stop the GGG talk....

Big shock! Canelo won't be "forced into the ring by artificial deadlines" but had no problem with making up weight classes when he fought for the same artificial belt.

The WBC did the right thing by trying to force a fight, Canelo's response is understandable if not laudable, and the WBC did the right thing in stripping him.

I'd say things worked out the way they should under these circumstances. I think it was Arbachakov and Jorge Arce where the WBC let Arce defend his WBC interim belt for decades without ever making him fight Arbachakov.

True, but it Also ELIMINATES Any and All Excuses for GGG NOT Accepting a Catchweight...

Again, GGG NEEDS This Fight Much More Than Canelo Does...He's Mid 30's, Yet DEVOID of a Signature Win as a Prizefighter...Like Cotto, Canelo's NEVER Beat His Chest about Being a Middleweight...RELINQUISHING the Title Prior to the Deadline Illustrates That...Canelo Has YET to Back Away from the Actual FIGHT, He's Only Backed Away from the Expectation of Fighting @ 160...The Onus is Now On GGG, Who BADLY Needs this Fight, for the Sake of His Legacy...

So, Canelo loses the WBC belt but still is the middleweight champion of the world since the belts don't matter and he beat the man etc.

However, he can create his own weight class and other rules now since he doesn't have the belt.

    Fuck this is annoying

This sounds like bullshit spin. I fear no man and to prove that ive given up the belt which is trying to force me to fight the man I'm insisting i don't fear.....then when negotiations break down it won't look like ive been forced to give up my title to avoid him

Yeah, this surely gives triple cute more leverage. Strange move....On its face i can only really interpret it the way I did above. Hopefully wrong

Great, the guy who shows up in the ring at 179, never beat his chest about being a Middleweight, but has no problem showing up in the ring as a Cruiserweight. :wack:

Is this rusty haired fuck now going to demand a Catchweight AND that GGG puts his MIDDLEWEIGHT belts on the line?

So, he had the leverage when he had the belt, and now he gives it up and he has super duper leverage?

So is he still the "Lineal" champion, or can we finally scrap that fucking term as far as this division is concerned?

just remain consistent with this. Not you but many on MM suggested that at one time Shannon Briggs was the true heavyweight champion of the world even though a fella by the name of Tyson held a couple belts at the time

If briggs had thrown a belt in the bin to avoid fighting tyson then he'd have given up any variety of claim to be champ, imo. Hell, technically he'd renounce the claim to even being a contender

canelo apparently realized how absurd it was for him as a 160 pound beltholder to then insist on a catch weight. so instead, he will be a non belt-holder insisting on a catch weight, with the goal of post-poning the fight indefinitely.
