Apparently this might be Bitchnelo's next fight.

Smith is "straight up down, no special effects". He's a brave, come forward brawler/grinder. Decent enough pop and strong, but totally one dimensional - slow and easy to hit. Crapnelo will pick him apart. Then his groupies will use it as evidence for why he has a chance against Golov.

"we want to let the matchup simmer," is code for: we want to exploit fans by having more mismatches, and milk free money until the risk of such a matchup (one we migt possibly lose) is tolerable.

I wish they would feed Beefy to JRock instead so that Williams could pick up a belt.

I think there's more disparaging nicknames for Canelo than there are for any other fighter. Lol

I'll add another one for you ( off the top of my head) can'tnelo. Lol

The longer he ducks Golov, CanYellow will be the most fitting.

And as I open this thread, it's now official. 9/17... on PPV.

Won't happen, but I hope this slow ass pikey destroys CanYellow.

I didn't get the joke until I googled the guy ( who I've never heard of before ) and seen that his alias is " beefy".

With that in mind it is indeed hilarious.

I gotta give it up to Canyellow. Smith is the only the 2nd prime fighter he's faced since Floyd beating him. The other being Lara.

Kilrkland, Angulo, Khan, and Cotto had all seen better days, to say the least.

Cotto was a good fight, smaller though he may be. Cotto had stopped Martinez and was the linear Middleweight Champion and looked very good in his previous fight prompting many ( mainly Ricans, admittedly) to pick him. We can knock the other cunts but not Cotto.

Cotto wasn't shot, but he was a shell of his 06-08 peak form. And still managed to take 4 rounds.

We'll never know for sure, but I think a 27-year-old Cotto woulda outclassed the shitty Ginger.

Face it the average folks dont know who the hell Canelo or GGG is. This shit needs to brew, us few boxing fans need to complain about this match for a few years to get the word out. We are the marketting tools for this fight. Then when its become meaningless and the make the fight the common folk will at least have a vague idea about it and drive the revenue way up.

Did you forget about Ryan "Spice Boy" Rhodes?

And yes, he chose that name when the Spice Girls were very popular.

Not to mention on the fightbeat poll here, most people picked Cotto to win. It was only AFTER the fight that people decided to discredit Canelo because he picked on the Puerto Rican George Burns. Cotto was suddenly ancient and tiny.

They're both pretty recognizable at this point. Boxing doesn't need "marination". People are tired of that shit. Boxing needs actual events happening within short periods of time from one another to reestablish itself as a "thing" that happens every other Saturday.

US Boxing is just a scam that sustains itself and then cashes in with a "big fight" once a year. It's starting to just appeal to wierdo posers and hobbyists that like to debate who's ducking who everyday all year.

The sport as a whole would advance but the splintered group of promoters are all about the short term, and in this case brewing for a while gives them better returns even if it does further twist the knife in boxings back.
