What happened to this fight? I thought it was supposed to be made for this month? I had heard that J-Rock signed the contract and was ready to go. Did the Charlo fraud catch cold feet? The Charlo sisters have two young guys in their division who would expose them - Williams and Andrade. They're not really in a rush to fight either.
I rewatched Charlo-Trout last week. Nobody makes mention of it, but that was a razor close fight. A valid case can be made for Trout winning, or a draw. Andrade would light Charlo up like a Xmas tree.
Trout's faded too. Not that he was ever super good, but he's declined from the guy who beat Cotto. I think the Trout of the Cotto fight woulda beaten Charlo clearly.
"I'd have no problem fighting both Charlos on the same night. Besides their trainers and girlfriends, is there anybody who really believes I'd lose to either one of those guys?" - Andrade.
I dunno, he seemed undersized and overmatched until Charlo hit the wall. Of course that probably had a lot to do with Charlo being so oversized at 154.
I don't buy that. Inactivity has killed Trout'a career. Its not as important for punchers, but technical boxers lIke Trout depend on activity to remain sharp. Even against Canelo, Trout was much quicker and sharper.
