Let's say the 84-85 Curry moves up to 154. Is he too good for Ginger, or is Ginger too big? I know my answer. I think the homo would lay a whuppin on Ginger. At his best, just far too talented a technician for Ging.
The gap in talent and skill is too much for the Ginger to overcome. Size only helps so much. Curry was simply a much better fighter. The Ginger takes an ass pounding, maybe he goes the distance or maybe he gets stopped, as Curry has too much speed and power from top to bottom. Curry's slick moves, short compact punches, and pole-like smoking jab. Curry would bear down on the Ginger and punish him, even with pillow gloves, Canelo would have to bite down hard from being hurt and fatigue. That Curry left hook that dropped McCrory? That exploded within a twink of an eye.
Curry at his best is too skillful and quick for Canelo. And Ginger doesn't fight with that awkward, rugged style that also gave Curry problems. Canelo is more finesse and eases his way into his rhythm. I think Curry's speed and quick counter punching puts Canelo in a shell. Curry via one sided UD.
I see a chess match that Curry is winning until Canelo turns off the lights in about 9 rounds. P4P I'd favour curry but at 154 lbs he gets knocked out eventually
This. Canelo is not really a pressure fighter. He's more of a counterpunching spur fighter. Curry is probably too smooth for him
The Khan fight has you thinking Canelo is some one punch KO artist. He hit fragile ass Cotto with everything but the sink, and never had him even on the verge of being KO'd. By the late rounds, Canelo wouldn't even be trying to KO Curry. He'd be in his front running ass shell, content on losing a wide UD.
