I always look forward to Tom Cruise movies. He picks great projects. Doesn't seem this Mummy is a family friendly one, so that's an improvement already.

True, though his best performances (imo) haven't been action films. Maybe this film will be good, I don't know. Is this part of the Universal version of the MCU? Dracula Untold was meant to be the start I think.

Looks good enough for a one-time, popcorn movie...but I hate trailers that show and give away so much!

This looks like a rehash of the Brandon Frasier campy Indiana Jones wannabes from the 90s. If it wasn't for Tom Cruise, this would be dismissed by everybody.

    Catastrophic FAIL by all accounts.
    Universally destroyed by critics.

21% Rotten at the RT score. That makes the 1999 Brendan Frasier movie feel like Citizen Kane in comparison. LOL

Meh maybe. Tom cruise doesnt do bad movies. I am wondering if this is a coordinated effort to try and keep it from taking money away from Wonder Woman.

Well there's 'bad' reviews...and then there's reviews for The Mummy.
Some serious negativity out there .

And anyway I already correctly reviewed it without watching the trailer: 'shit'

Yeah but you are not a good source for reviews. You think Great movies suck. I heard this movie was bad, but i also heard Russell Crow and Tom Cruise save it.

The Brendan Fraser Mummy was decently good from what I remember.

Not at all surprised that this one is shit. The previews look pathetic IMO.

Well it is a remake. That's par for the course right?

At the same time I'll correct and then agree with Panchy that Tom doesn't make terrible movies which is what this one would be if those scores and critic reviews are accurate. I'll have to decide for myself.

    It's a reboot. Not a remake

That is true. Most REMAKES are pretty shit by default.
Didn't expect it to get savaged as bad as this though.

Maybe Cruise's remake of 'Blow' will fare better....

Never say never again is a remake of Thunderball. Clash of the Titans was a remake. Robocop was a remake. The amazing Spider-Man was a reboot. Batman begins was a reboot. Know the difference.
