So....no more P4P puncher lists as it's far too complicated. Instead let's look at a single division that has produces many fearsome punchers over the years.

give me your top ten lists.

As usual let me provide you a list of fighters for consideration in no particular order:

    Gerard McClellan
    Julian Jackson
    Thomas Hearns
    Nigel Benn
    Sugar Ray Robinson
    Roy Jones Jnr
    GGG
    Felix Trinidad
    Carlos Monzon
    Marvin Hagler

Rodrigo Valdez deserves a mention. Also if you want to go way back Stanley Ketchel.

    Monzon and Hagler don't belong.

Rodrigo Valdez damn sure belongs. As does Florentino Fernandez.

Ruben Carter should be in there. Tony Zale should be considered. Ketchel should be considered.

Nigel Benn should not be considered.

Sure he doesn't have a world class resume at this point but he has highest knockout percentage in the division's entire history and he's close to holding all the belts.

Not sure how that warrants a dismissive laugh.

I don't think Trinidad belongs at 160. He was an elite puncher at 147 and 154.

McClellan, Benn, Jones, Echols, Jackson(Though his best was 154), GGG (Though unproven still), Hearns, Ketchel, Valdez, Fernandez.

Yes, but Trinidad is black, and caribbean, so he make Slychindlers List.

Disagreed about tito. While he doesnt have a lot of fight at 160, he was an absolute dynamite puncher at that weight.

Hey I made the list in haste so I may have forgotten a few punchers. I agree that Hagler shouldn't be there or Monzon but I had forgotten about Carter, Echols and a few others...and wanted a long enough list. I never said that my list were the ONLY fighters to consider. That's an Xplosive move, not mine.

Anyway, stop complaining you cunts and just provide lists and shut up. lol

Bum ass Antwun Echols doesn't belong on that list. Certainly not over Valdez, and Fernandez. Carter I can see. He was a very dangerous puncher. A good case can be made that Benny Briscoe belongs on the list. And I wouldn't argue with somebody putting Tony Sibson on there.

You're out your damn mind. Nigel Benn is DEFINITELY one of the top 10 most powerful middles. Arguably even top 5.

I agree Echols wasn't a great fighter. But if that guy couldn't do anything else, he sure as hell could crack. But my list wasn't in order. I was just throwing names on there off the top of the head.

Who did he spark at 160 :dunno:

A totally drained Barkley, whom he didn't even starch.

Doug DeWitt was a good KO but still.......Doug DeWitt

Watson.......no he didn't even beat him.

When he "Dropped" Eubank at 160 there was water all over corner that Eubank slipped in.

Needed 11 rounds with bum ass Nicky Piper at 168.

    Come on.

Compare that to Carter blowing out Emile Griffith in a round.

I didn't even notice Echols on your list.

    A top 20 list I'd include Echols.

A lot of Benns reputation as a destroyer is based on his style and his defeat of McClellan at 168, a win that absolutely must be taken on it's own facts.

Real power is a guy like Julian Jackson being in a fucking hole vs Graham and finding the leveler.

It's not fair to compare Benn to Jackson. Jackson had power that wasn't of this world.

In regards to Carter... Carter had much better technique than Benn and was more effective at landing his power shots.

Benn was crude at 160, but his power was tremendous.

If I had to rank the top 4, I'd say:

    1. Jackson
    2. G-man
    3. Hearns
    4. Valdez

Fifth is arguable, and Benn has an argument for that spot.

Considering that DeWitt went the distance with Hearns, and took all the best from Matthew Hilton, it's impressive how brutally Benn destroyed him.

Dingaan Thobela got stretched by Geoff McCreesh before going on to win the title at 168. Maybe McCreesh was like the hardest hitting welter of all times.

Whichever way you try to spin it, I don't think you can name off 10 middleweights who were bigger punchers than Benn.

And for the record, I don't even like Benn. Dirty sonuvabitch that he was.

I wouldn't call Barkley iron chinned, but he was durable. Benn was likely on his way to stopping Barkley anyway, but the stupid ass Three KD Rule robbed of a potential classic.

Barkley had complained of hunger before the fight. As in he hadn't eaten for days.
