Like others, Garcia has proven me wrong in the past so it's tough to pick against him. Add to the fact that I think he's looking more solid at 147. Not going to make my pick yet though.

    Garcia via UD.

It'll be similar to the Garcia/Matthyssee fight. I see Thurman starting well early, Garcia then warming up by the early to mid rounds and countering him. Thurman at some point will be badly hurt in this fight, and I really wouldn't be all that shocked if he sees the canvas at least once. Garcia's timing and ring IQ will serve him well here against Thurman's speed and athleticism. Will be a very good fight, IMO.

In this fight Thurman should stay behind the jab....don't get all wild and off balance like he typically do....Jab/right..reset...repeat...the occassional left hook/uppercut...keep it simple stupid. I don't think he will....it will be a slugfest...Thurman by Split Decision...both fighters HURT...both fighters visiting the canvas...

If Garcia wins he will milk the shit out of this...won't be fighting that quiet guy from Tejas...for 2-3 years...

Don't see it. Mathysse is a come forward guy, so that gave a lot of opportunity to Garcia to use angles and counters. Thurman, on the contrary, is a hippity hop (Double L ™) fighter. He'll jump all over the place, trying to lure Garcia into coming in, and land a bomb. I liked how Garcia was cutting the ring against Judah, but he looked mediocre once he got hurt, and let Judah win the latter rounds. I expect Thurman to hurt Garcia enough to turn him into a good boy.

It's an excellent matchup. Thurman's performance against Porter was impressive in several ways, especially his stamina. Garcia is a natural fighter with superb timing. Both guys have advantages over the other and both are proven winners. Do a Spence Brook fight with winners facing each other and you'd be very close to a super fight.
