No Way Arum Allows this Fight to Happen, Until Mikey and Loma Have Cleared EVERYBODY Else Out, First... LAST Thing Arum's Gonna Do is Put the Guy that Just LEFT Him in a Bout w/His Next CASH COW... REED:hammert:
Bitter Bob arum will block it but we can all imagine how it might play out. I'd pick lomachenko but he would need to fight carefully and use his advantage in athleticism vs a skilled, taller guy with an eraser in a higher division. Garcia is really a super lightweight I don't know that arum sees lomachenko as a cash cow, however. He's great and relatively young but style wise and marketability wise I'm skeptical he develops into a cash cow
I'd pick Loma as well as I believe he's a superior talent. But with Mikey's skill and power he's by FAR the biggest threat to Loma. This is more intriguing than Loma-Crawford, as TC is simply too big for Loma.
I don't know, there's a big difference in size between them (Danny). Loma would beat him easilly p4p, but not sure he can climb to ww and do it. As for Mickey, I'm pretty sure he beats Loma. The guy is clearly one of the most devastating fighter in the sport right now.
I meant when Cherry was still at 140. I'd pick Loma to be able to move up and make Cherry look like a lead footed fool. I wouldn't put it past Mikey to beat Loma, but of the two Garcia's, Mikey is by FAR more talented than Cherry.
Mikey is MORE than one level better than Walters or anyone else Loma has faced and he's not only one of the best punchers in the sport but one of the best offensive technicians in the sport period. Loma should be favored, but it'd be FOOLISH to think Garcia doesn't have a good chance.
Loma beats Mikey. But Mikey has the equalizer to turn it around at any time. I'd still favor Loma because he's more talented and skillful.
I like Garcia, he has skills and can obviously hit, plus he's naturally bigger but saying all that I still say Loma's skill level is far superior and he'll win fairly wide IMO. Obviously Mikey has the equaliser but I don't see him landing it.
How many ROUNDS has Garcia even lost in his career? Not too many. I do think Loma will win, because he's LIKELY the best fighter in the world... but I can't write off Garcia. Not given his power and his technical skill. If he DOMINATED Garcia, I think he belongs at #1 P4P with room to spare.
Right now, my P4P #1 is Kov based on resume. IDGAF what those bullshit judges said, he legitimately beat Ward. I have Loma at #2. But based on sheer ability, yes, I believe Loma's the best fighter in the world.
Can't argue with that to be fair, especially as I think the rounds won/loss ratio is the best barometer of an elite fighter's ability. Either way I just hope it happens, which looks unlikely at this stage.
Gotta say as well that I haven't seen as much of Garcia as I would have liked so I'm probably underrating him, maybe to a significant degree. From what I have seen I don't think he beats a guy like Loma but I'll say he's a very good fighter.
This Fight Boils Down to WHAT Happens When (Not IF, but WHEN) Garcia Lands a CLEAN Shot... Make No Mistake, Garcia WILL Land Something Meaningful...Lomachenko's REACTION will Go a Loooooooooooong Ways Toward Determining the Outcome... REED:fightme:
True, but if Loma takes it well, it's over. Loma isn't a guy you're going to find often, and if he can take your best shot you're going to lose round after round.
REED Thinks the Skill Level Here is CLOSER than You Realize... ASSuming Lomachenko IS More Skilled than Garcia, it's NOT Like Garcia's Going to Look Like Roman Martinez in There, or Remotely Close... REED Sees This Being a HIGH Level Chessmatch, Approaching the Level of Leonard-Hearns 1, w/BOTH Men Being Tested in Ways we Haven't Seen, Shifts in Momentum/Tactics, and Perhaps Having to Fight OUTSIDE of Themselves to Score the Victory... It's a 50-50 Fight, 55-45 (Whichever Way You Lean) @ the ABSOLUTE Worst... REED:bears:
