First fight since Kov-Ward that I'm actually excited for. A TRUE 50-50 fight. Final predictions, NO taking them back after you make them.

I'm taking Garcia by late stoppage, although I'm HEAVILY rooting for Thurman and hoping like Hell I'm wrong.

I think Thurman will start fast and build a lead, but Cherry will slowly, steadily break him down to the body and set up a big shot late that Keith doesn't recover from me.

    Garcia TKO 11.

While definitely not worth the (local) hype it gets, these guys are not bums in any way.

Garca vs Thurman of course is on other level and a really intriguing although not very exciting fight

Not very exciting? Both guys are offensive fighters, neither one has a great defense, and both the power to hurt the other. You had in the fact that they dislike eachother, and you have the potential for an exciting fight.

I'm going with Keith Thurman by 10th round stoppage.

Angel Garcia runs into the ring swinging his shoe.

I had initially planned to go. But I'll be on baby duty this weekend so making the 90-min drive to Barclays isn't gonna pan out. So it's gonna be a living room viewing.

Make a separate thread to discuss bum ass Gaye and Bellend.

This thread is for Thurman-Garcia only.

Garcia by KO 3.....Thurman will come out aggressive trying to prove/show he is the biggers...stronger...better fighter.....it will work for a few rounds....but eventually Garcia catches him with one of them "closed eyes left hooks(Khan)" and Thurman will go NITE...NITE.

Hope i'm wrong ofcourse...cause IMO Thurman style and mouth will be better for boxing......

I don't think Thurman will come out aggressively. Think he'll stick and move.

In Thurman's defense, this is gonna be the first time Garcia's been hit by a FULL FLEDGED welter with power. It's not a given he'll be able to handle it, but I'm maintaining my pick.

Most Expected Thurman-Porter to Be a LACKLUSTER Clinch-fest, But REED Predicted it'd Be ENTERTAINING, Which it Was...

REED Thinks Thurman-Garcia is AS Fan-Friendly as the Porter Fight, @ Worst, Likely SURPASSING it, in Terms of Sustained, Effective ACTION....

Thurman's BETTER than Garcia on the Perimeter, but Both Men PREFER to Engage from Close Range...There'll Be Some GOOD Exchanges in this Bout, Especially EARLY, as Both are Looking to Establish Themselves as the ALPHA...

I'd rather Garcia won, but I've got Thurman winning this all day every day.

    Garcia via UD.

Thurman will start quick, but Garcia will adjust by the mid rounds, slow the pace down and bang away at the body. Thurman will slow down and down the stretch, I see Garcia hurting him in the late rounds.

The only way Garcia wins is by controversial decision...which is possible since this fight is all but guaranteed to go the distance and Garcia will be competitive
