I feel like this has been done to death. You should do presently active guys only.

Chappelle just released a couple of new specials on Netflix but I haven't seen them yet.

I shouldn't comment because I haven't watched many stand ups or remember their names....but...

I have Eddie Murphy "Raw" edging "Delirious". Even though the last 20 mins of Raw was stupid and boring....the first 3/4 of it was absolutely excellent.

Richard Pryor likely had some white in him down the line... so there!

Richard Pryor and George Carlin have to be the most overrated comedians of all time.

I don't think those new Chappelle ones come out until the 28th. It's supposed to be 3 new ones. I don't know if they'll all be released at once, I just know Netflix paid Chappelle around 60 million for 3 shows and did a similar deal with Chris Rock. Apparently Netflix is gonna corner the market on stand up.

This is fucking ridiculous. Delirious is 10x better than Raw. To say otherwise is like saying Diehard 2 was better than the first one.

I found the funniest parts of Raw better than the funniest parts of Delirious. Simple as that.

Um Foo Foo, butt nekid on a zebra and wanting Half...bloody funny
Dexter swinging his dick before fucking your woman well
The whole "It wasn't me" joke...which Shaggy stole for his song.
"Ladies..if your man isn't with you tonight....he's fucking somebody"

    Tons of other classic jokes.

    Raw is BLOODY good!

It's just the last 15-20 minutes that it started to suck.

lb 4 lb is correct. Delirious absolutely shits on Raw. I've never heard anybody say otherwise except for Sly.

The funniest part of BOTH stand-ups was when he discussed the family cookout.... which was Delirious. The cookout alone shits on any part of Raw.

Please...I did a quick google search and opinion is split.

    RAW edged it for me.

The funniest bit in Raw is when he talked about Italians and Rocky.

Still doesn't compare to the family cookout and the rest of Delirious.

Chris Rock is in the similar boat with Eddie.

His second special, "Bigger and Blacker" was really good, but didn't compare to his earlier "Bring The Pain".

I found the first 15 to 20 minutes of Raw funny and the rest mostly goes to shit. Especially when he starts talking about every man cheats. That joke seemed to suck the humor out of the theater I saw it in and made things more uncomfortable than funny. I think a lot of women were really thinking about what he was saying and didn't find it funny and the men with those ladies didn't either.

    Current guys:

Bill Burr (though he's become very annoying recently)
Patton Oswald (his storytelling is amazing and is a strong point but his Star Wars and other nerd references are lost on me...)
    Dave Chappelle
    Mike Recine
    Corey Holcolmb

Most annoying: Eric Andre (I understand he's a shock comic but he just doesn't do it for me. I cringe every time I see a clip of him with a guest. Who the hell would go on that show?)

Patton Oswalt is screamingly funny at times but I also get lost when he's nerd-raging about something

Just never found his stand up very funny. And it's pretty dated as well.

I did like him in movies though.

Funny... because I was just re-watching his stand-ups on Monday... still laughed my ass off.

And dated? Richard Pryor mostly discussed racism, his childhood, and black habits/issues.... ain't a damn thing has changed since the 70s.

His material is still EXTREMELY relevant.

I liked George Carlin as well, but of course, I know conservatives hate him.

I don't watch all that much stand-up. Raw was great. I liked Demetri Martin's stand-up too. Dermot Morgan's was quite funny as I remember it.

It was totally irrelevant by 2007 when people walked hand-in-hand on rainbow colored sidewalks and no one could even remember a time when someone might've been described as "black" or "white"... Then, IT HAPPENED... A half-black beast with a super black wife with no sleeves and a resting-bitch-face TOOK power, painted the White House black, made "Fuck da police" the national anthem and decreed that "all whites are stank-ass haters", tearing the country in two like Solomon threatened to do with that baby ...

Solomon had it good. 700 wives and 300 concubines. They knew how to live in those days.

"One God, that I understand...but one wife? That's not civilized. It's not generous."
