Well, what is it? I can't think of any really good comedies from this decade.

The Other Guys and Horrible Bosses were pretty good. I think you're right though. Not been a great decade for comedies so far.

For all the talk about women aren't funny, "Bridemaids" and "Heat" are the first two I thought of.

Also liked "This Is The End", "21 Jump Street", "Central Intelligence", "This Is 40", "The Campaign" and "The Nice Guys".

I liked Bridesmaids. I saw both Central Intelligence and the Nice Guys not all that long ago but for whatever reason forgot about them. I guess they just didn't spring to mind first as comedies. This is 40 had its moments but nothing too special. The scene in the principal's office was hilarious though.

Horrible Bosses and Cedar Rapids. Those are the ONLY good/funny comedies I've seen in the last 6 years.

Comedies have fallen off the hardest of ANY movie genre. 99.9% of comedies now are fucking HORRIBLE!

Yeah, Bridesmaids was pretty funny. It's another chick-flick but I saw I Give It a Year and that made me laugh. It's been a really shite decade for comedies though.

    word.

Back in the day we had Trading Places, Blazing Saddles, Let's Do it again, Call me Trinity, Stir Crazy...all bloody funny comedies. Nowadays it's just a bunch of buffoonery..no art at all.

I thought 21 Jumpstreet was insanely overrated. It was a mediocre comedy IMO, dunno why in the Hell people thought it was hilarious.

    I didn't see Neighbors.

Hot Tub Time Machine was pretty funny also. So, other than those three... I can't think of any other funny comedies.

Black comedies are REALLY dead. Probably because that unfunny midget is the number 1 black comic star.

I could be wrong but comedies don't usually stack up in box office dollars and maybe part the overall problem with today's industry. Obviously the movie business has always been about making money like every other, but it's as if they don't even try to hide it any more. If somebody had a hilarious screenplay for a great comedy they would probably be told to scrap it and instead write a reboot of Coming to America. Then if that makes enough money they can make a sequel where they go to Russia!

Any recent Wes Anderson films? How about the recent one with Willem Dafoe?

So far this is the worst decade for comedies. I liked a few, but that is not saying much. I will name the ones that entertained me and could watch them again:

Easy A Best role Emma Stone ever had. She shined here in full comedic force!
Scott Pilgrim vs the World insane comicbook adaptation that is so ridiculously awesome!
Zombieland I want my twinkies!!! It was great to watch Bill Murray die!:Bad:
Kick-Ass the film that made Chloe Grace Moretz a child-marvel. Love this film.
The End of the World very underrated British scifi comedy. Highly recommended.
Guardians of the Galaxy I can watch the intro Starlord dance a hundred times and always puts a smile on my face.

Heck, even that fan at Wondercon was awesome!

    Bridesmaids?

    Bridesmaid was fucking painful.

But when movies like Ted, We're the Millers and Horrible Bosses are the best comedies so far, this has been a pretty terrible decade for funny movies.

I don't even consider 'Wolf of Wall Street' a comedy. It is a very good film, but if it is a comedy, then if failed miserably in that department.
