    Hagler points.
    In a grinder.

Physical attribute-wise, Hagler takes it on power and footwork....
James Toney's pressure gave McCallum a lot of problems. Hagler could turn up the pressure like no-one else and that plus his workrate was much better than Toney's.

Were these two ever slated to meet each other in the mid 80s? (I know Mike was at 154 at the time)

To my knowledge, I don't think there were ever slated to meet eachother. Mike wasn't on Hagler's radar... Hearns and Leonard were. By time McCallum truly peaked, Hagler was nearing the end.

For the record, McCallum has a very good chance at beating Hagler if they fought in 87.

But I can't see him beating the 81-85 Hagler.

Hagler on points, very close and semi controversial, with neither man ever hurt.

Hagler wins a decision. Not a wide one, but not that close either. 8-4, 10-5 type decision. I don't see either guy getting dropped or really hurt as they both had terrific chins and solid defense.
