On what basisbdo you conclude (specifically) that his chin is solid?

My prediction is there is no fucking way Canelo would give Jacobs the time of day. Just look at the opponents the fuy has been facing. Any indication he would take on the likes of Jacobs? No.

Lemieux is not a really good fighter, but he has a hell of a chance against Jacobs imo, since he's very aggressive, and I'm still not convinced about Jacobs chin

Canelo faced Lara and Trout. He also faced Cotto and Mayweather. I see no reason why he wouldn't fight Jacobs.

Canelo's chin seems solid to me. Just a hunch.

Agree, and he's going up to fight a comparative giant in Chavez Jr. I lean Canelo in both fights, but it's easy enough to see him losing either. The point is that he takes tough fights. Just because he isn't doing some ridiculous Froch-like stretch of tough opponents doesn't change the facts of his career.

You could give Jacobs 4 or 5 rounds but he only won one or two rounds clearly. He ate the jab all night and when he got a good stretch going he'd get smacked with something.

    Clear win for GGG

Just watched the replay. 10 and 11 are the only rounds Jacobs clearly won. There were 4 or 5 close ones though counting the first two.

Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez vs Sor Rungvisai...

BEST Case Scenario for Chocolatito was a Draw...Coupling Rungvisai's Size/Strength Advantage w/a Southpaw Style BOTHERED Chocolatito, Quite Clearly...He Consistently BEAT Chocolatito to the Punch and Got the Better of Most of the Early Exchanges...

Though Never Hurt Chocolatito was MOVED by the Sheer Force of Runvisai's Punches Throughout...Dropped w/a Body Shot and UPROOTED from his Stance, on Several Other Occasions...Rounds 1 and 2 were CLEARLY Rungvisai's and REED Gave him 3 and 4 as Well, Though Both were ADMITTEDLY Close...

Chocolatito Won Round 5 Big, Won 6 Also...8 Was Close, but REED Scored it for Chocolatito...9, 10 and 12 were Pretty Clear for Chocolatito...Round 11 was the Sixth Round REED Scored for Rungvisai, so Right Then and There, the BEST Chocolatito Could Do was a Draw...Ultimately, it Boils Down to How You Scored Rounds 3, 4 and 8, but Chocolatito Categorically DID NOT "Defeat" Rungvisai...REED Ain't Sure he'd Win a RE Either...

Chocolatito Seems to Have Plateaued @ Super Fly...Doesn't Have the Same SNAP on his Shots and Considering his Somewhat METHODICAL Footwork, that's NOT a Good Thing...Rungvisai was Better in the Pocket AND Showed Superior Wheels from about the 8th Onward...The Constant Butts were Unfortunate and Probably DELIBERATE, but More Importantly, Rungvisai's a BAD Matchup for Chocolatito, @ 115...

I didn't think the butts were intentional. But i could be wrong.

    Gennady Golovkin vs. Daniel Jacobs...

Having Now Seen the Fight, All the "Robbery" Talk Stems from the 1st 2 Rounds...If You Had Jacobs Winning 1 or Both Stanza's, He was the CLEAR Winner of the Fight...

That Being Said, REED Scored the 1st 2 Rounds for Golovkin...

Jacobs Simply WASN'T Combative Enough...Of the 1st 5 Rounds, REED Only Scored the 3rd for Jacobs...w/Out Question, he was Making Things HARDER than Usual for Triple G, but Based on AGGRESSION and CLEANER SHOTS, GGG was Winning...

Jacobs FINISHED Better, Winning 6, 7, 10 and 11 on REED's Card, w/the 12th Being Scored Even...REED Could Easily See a DRAW for Jacobs, but this Wasn't Quite a "Robbery" to His Eyes...

GGG's Definitely RIPE for the Picking Though, and he'd BETTER Go Ahead and Jump on that Flat Fee of $15 Mil for Canelo...He's Now Painted (or BOXED, as the Case May Be) Himself into a Corner Because Declining Canelo's Offer Only Heightens DEMAND the Jacobs RE...

And if Jacobs STARTS w/the PASSION and CONFIDENCE he Showed in the 2nd Half of the Bout (& There's No Reason to Think he Wouldn't), he'll BEAT Golovkin...

They weren't FLAGRANT, but the AMOUNT of Them Makes REED Wonder...

For Certain, Chocolatito Got the WORST of Every Butt, Which Made him a Bit LEERY of Rungvisai's Head...Rungvisai KNEW This as Well, But Didn't Make the SLIGHTEST Alteration to WHERE he Placed his Head or WHEN...

He Wasn't the Least Bit Sympathetic or Equally LEERY to Leap In w/his Head, During Punching Exchanges...Even After the Point was Taken...

I don't think any of those things (the frequency with which the butts ocurred, the fact they bothered chocalito and not rungvisai, or that rungvisai seemed to take little care avoiding them) prove at all, or even imply that the butts were intentional.

    Riiiiight....

Just an Ongoing Series of COINCIDENCES:lol:...

Again, REED Ain't Saying the Butts were DELIBERATE, but to Completely DISREGARD This as a Possibility, Given the Sheer AMOUNT of Times it Occurred, Doesn't Make Sense @ All...

    Good fight.

I had GGG winning due to the knockdown. Wasn't impressed with Lampley's GGG fellatio.

The PPV did 170,000 buys up from the 150,000 from the LePeux fight.

$10 million in PPV revenue half goes to HBO...

$2.5 million for GGG, $1.75 for Jacobs...

    Means the fight lost money.

I wonder if GGG set a new "MSG merchandise record" and if so, what was his percentage?

Lampley is a disgrace at this point.

20 years ago he was far-and-away the best blow-by-blow guy in the sport.

At this point, he's soooooooo unbearable that I actually find Mauro fuckin Renalo less annoying. That's saying A LOT!

Criticize him all you want but Lampley is still the best blow by blow commentator in the US at least.

Ian Darke...is my favourite overall though.

Lampley doesn't even commentate anymore. He simply sucks off the HBO fighter. Even Kellerman has become a company shill in recent years.

Roy's the ONLY member of the team who calls it straight.

Merchant's candor I think used to keep Lampley in check. Now that he is gone, Lampley apparently feels free to go full propagandist.

I agree RJJ is the only one left who seems to have not gotten the memo.

What is hilarious is some times RJJ seems to disagree with Kellerman on principle alone. I have seriously heard him say to Max, "I disagree," only to go on and explain his position and it turns out he actually agrees.

Agreed. Whereas Merchant could often come off as a cynical old grouch it was good to have it offset the cheerleading. If a fight was crap, or shouldn't have been made in the first place he's straight up say it. Jim and Max sugar coat that shit.

Might have to watch some more boxing one day, provided it's safe to do so.
