It's not a big fight, it's a (potentially) big event. If Tom Brady were to fight Lebron James it would get a shit ton of hype.

I can't believe this is a big event.

I literally will not go see it for free if it has a shitty undercard.

The build up will be entertaining, I'll watch that for a laugh. No interest whatsoever in the actual fight though.

On Top of That, if Floyd FAILS to Stop McGregor and Fights NEGATIVELY (Both of Which are VERY Likely to Occur), it'll Be Looked @ as Yet Another "Black Eye for Boxing", the 2nd in 3 Bouts for Floyd...

REED Certainly Won't PAY For this Shit Either, but it's a MUST-SEE Event, Undoubtedly...Even Though we Pretty Much Know, we NEVER KNOW...

Im just curious to see if they will throw in any stipulations to make it interesting. If its a strict boxing match, Im not interested. Nothing more than a con job to pad both of their bank accounts.

    What constitutes being a ´big fight´ or a ´big event´...

The only way this would happen is if it were a scripted wrestling match in which Mayweather would go over via hitting Conor with the brass knuckles

Should be boxing rules, in the cage, with MMA gloves.

No. No cage. A proper boxing ring, and McGregor is allowed to kick.
    8oz gloves for both.

Those both sound interesting to me. Floyd is too much of a pussy though.

I read multiple times, Floyd is known for having 'brittle' hands. Floyd needs padding, so no mma gloves.

Dana White doesn't want his boy to get humiliated.

    Of course it's not happening.

Yep. I would imagine even lower level guys aren't allowed to compete in any combat sport outside the UFC without their permission, let alone Connor.

If however he has enough time left on his contract to let it expire and the Mayweather fight is still viable they just might let it happen. That's even if Floyd makes all the fight stipulations. The UFC would rather get a piece of that pie than have none at all.

It would be somewhat similar to football teams selling a player they would like to keep but know won't renew their contract. It's either sell them or let it expire and get nothing.

This fight has less of a chance of happening than Hegman's big PPV extravaganza that he was supposed to headline a few years ago.

But if it did, there's only one way it would play out.

    Conor KO 1

No, just fucking with you. Conor would come out very aggressive like he always does, swinging wildly, trying to end the fight with one punch. Floyd would be moving constantly, bobbing and weaving, and using his gloves to block anything that came too close. He might throw a jab or two, but mostly he'd just be on the defensive.

By the time Round 2 starts, Conor will be gasping for air with his tongue hanging out and he'll be a stationary target for Floyd to tee off on. Floyd with unleash on Conor. He won't KO him, but he will knock him down, probably more than once, and Conor will eventually take a knee from the onslaught and give up, kneeling while the ref counts him out.

Both fighters, especially Floyd, will walk out with an obscene amount of money, and the PPV audience will realize that, once again, they've been suckered out of their hard earned money by Floyd.

The funny thing with Mayweather is that everyone knows that his fights tend to be boring, especially as he ages, yet they can't help but buy the paper view. This fight will make a hell of a lot of money but will be a mismatch. McGregor couldn't outbox Mickey Ward let alone Floyd Mayweather.

It could be entertaining if Floyd takes chances. He'd have a field day on McGregor.

Could look like Mayweather-Gatti or Trindad-Joppy.
