Taimak from The Last Dragon-you would think that he would have gone on to better things but he didn't. He turned down doing a sequel because he wanted another two movies instead of the one. He got none.

Dennis Dun-Kurt Russell's cohort in Big Trouble in Little China. Had the action and humor in this role. Always wondered why he didn't do much afterward.

The kid in "Searching For Bobby Fischer" was really good, and he never did shit after that.

The Anakin kid in that 4th Star Wars movie tried to disappear himself from the Earth because of all the shitty Star Wars fans who blamed him for that Phantom Menace bullshit, and not the super shitty director who cast him and wrote all the shitty dialogue.

Yeah. But compared to his co-stars, he didn't do shit. A similar example is pony boy from outsiders.

No, no, bad example man. Ponyboy has been in tons of shit. "Soulman", "The Hitcher", "Red Dawn". He still works regularly. He's got like 200 credits on IMDB. Granted most of it is shit, but he's a solid working actor. He was great on "Southland" just a little while ago.

Outsiders had a fucking crazy cast though. Even if you go all the way to the bottom of the cast list, you run into Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Hall of Fame hockey player Cam Neely as like a 17 year-old kid, LOL.

Elizabeth Brooks. After making quite an impact in all humans with a pulse in 'The Howling" she decided that her date with the Grim Reaper was more important than her next big role.

Same with Andy Whitfield from 'Spartacus: Blood & Sand". He turned down starring in season 2 just because he wanted spend time with his family before dying and shit. Some people just can't make good career decisions!

    C. Thomas Howell is a good actor but "Soul Man" really fucked any chance he had of being a real movie star ... but like Nobes says, the dude has been busy as fuck for decades

Ralph Macchio is a good example. So is Mark Hamill. Michael J Fox also to a certain extent.

Taimak is the perfect example though IMO. What a waste. The guy was very good looking with a great physique (Dark Magus is going to crucify me for this one, lol), and had great fight choreography and style. He should have had the success than Van Damme ended up having. Shame.

Michael J Fox is an awful example

    Absolutely awful

He was famous as Alex Keaton on "Family Ties", then became even more famous for Marty McFly in THREE movies, and had several other big hit films in which he was the main star (Secret of My Success, Teen Wolf, Doc Hollywood, The Hard Way) before returning to TV and becoming a lead star in a successful show all over again (Spin City)

    SHITE EXAMPLE

Lead actor in a big budget summer blockbuster? GTFO. Steven Seagal wasn't an actor either per your criteria, nor OJ Simpson, nor Jim Brown.

Why? They had acting parts in hit movies. Neither made any other movie. Both qualify.
