Ward is only retired because he doesn't believe Tony Bellend aka Pretty Ricky Conlan can get back down to 200 lbs for a title match

Ward strengthens his resume and he's a top 10 all time claimant. If you knew nothing else about him but his resume, he'd already be there.
Hard to build strong fan support when you fight like Hopkins as can be seen in the above posts.

Either he has a brain injury or he is looking to get away from Roc Nation somehow.

Ward is no less boring than Mayweather. The only difference is he didn't behave like a clown and wasn't a walking money minstrel show.

He never talked shit and wasn't surly like Froch (who I always liked btw). And for the record, with Froch I always said he had the best resume in boxing up until he faced then lost to Ward.

I never had any issue with Ward nor his style. He beat all the guys he was supposed to and faced them when he should have. he didn't duck anyone.

The fact remains he beat everyone who stood in front of him and he was the best fighter on all of their resumes. Whether it be Froch, Kovalev, Kessler, Dawson and/or Abraham.

Billy Conn, Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore, and that's before you throw in the Class of 1970-1983.

    He's top 20. Maybe.

The 49ers could nab him for tonight's paltry attended game against the LA Rams for the official retirement announcement

Yeah, as usual, Muzse talks out of his ass when he hates a guy.

I hate Floyd too, but there's no comparison.

PBF was far more exciting to watch than Ward.

Money May was pretty boring... but still, even as Money May... the Hatton and Cotto fights were more compelling than any Ward fights.

Young Mayweather was exciting. His performances against Hernandez, Corrales, Castillo 1, Manfredy, N'Dou, and Gatti were vintage Floyd.

And his contests against Hatton, Maidana 1, and Cotto were compelling fights.

Definitely more exciting than Ward even though as a person, I can't stand Floyd.

Yeah, those Badomir and Guererro fights were instant classics.

Be honest, you have to go back 12-15 years to find an exciting Mayweather fight. 12 years - Gatti....15 years - Castillo.

I'll be honest...you might have me on this one. I know I never saw the Maidana fights. I think I might have seen the Cotto fight. I'd given up watching the guy by then. I did see the Pacquiao fight but that was the first time I'd watched him in years.

LOL. There you go again, assuming that I care about Golov.

I hate the draw more because it's a bad look for the sport.

Boxing had REALLY strong momentum going into last week.... the bullshit decision killed it.
