I doubt there'd be anything close about this one, honestly.

Sssshhh.... Sly's gotta protect his agenda.

Floyd's gotta the only fighter in history who beats Canelo easily, in his mind.

The Benitez of the Duran fight would light Shitnelo up horribly.

Considering a 24 year old Benitez is better than an aging Floyd who schooled Canelo, I'd have to think Benitez would win a lopsided decision

You're right, I change my mind. Benitez wins every second of every round comfortably. Canelo is too polluted by the Earth's poisonous air of the 2010s to stand a chance against a demigod of the 80s when the Earth was still covered by a watery firmament...

154 was Benitez's best weight. It was not Floyd's best. If you think an almost 40 year Floyd was as good as a peak Benitez then you're even more delusional than I thought.

Benitez beats Canelo by a fuckin mile.

Forget that he was just plain better, on top of that stylewise he's HORRIBLE for Canelo.

I picked Benitez by the way. Secondly...it's not about 40 year old floyd vs prime Benitez, it's about how Benitez matches up with Canelo. I say he beats Canelo, close but clear but I think Canelo wins a few rounds and is competitive. I don't know why you flew off that handle at the merely suggestion that Canelo could be competitive with Benitez. Canelo isn't a bum.

Benitez height and reach, hand speed, and underrated power would force Canelo on the backfoot. Plus the fact that Benitez could be aggressive when he wanted. Hard to picture Canelo ( who tends to fight in spurts) being competitive here.

Canelo would be as competitive as Duran was.... which is not competitive.

Canelo is already better than he was against Floyd, and Benitez at 154 was not the same guy he was at 147, but Benitez still wins, style match-up is perfect for him

    I think 154 was Benitez's best weight.

Benitez by wide decision. Canelo's size advantage would do little for him, he is simply thicker/heavier than Benitez. Not taller, not rangier, not a big puncher, and not a guy who is going to be all physical with wrestling and clinching, where the extra pounds might help.

As said above, not only was Benitez a much better fighter, but it's also a terrible style matchup.

Mayweather was 36 years old and took Canelo to school. Benitez would do the same, as he was a better junior middle than Floyd.

Benitz is horribble for Canelo, and he's also plain better. He wins easily
