This is like a ufc matchup. Trying to find a big enough fraud for the name guy to beat to catapult him back into being a viable opponent for real fighters

I think Figueroa will outwork him. Ya know, one of the biggest things Maidana did all those years ago when he whipped AB's ass was shatter his confidence... and it never really returned. Once he faces ANY opposition now he loses belief in himself pretty quickly.

He has the talent to beat a scrub like Figueroa, but he'll mentally fold.

If Figueroa wins, expect to see him get fed to Spence in the fall.

Not even sure if it's a confidence thing, Broner was getting outworked by Gavin Rees of all people early on, as well as Pwaalee.

Actually, I wanna know what weight this fight is at before I pick a winner. I think Broner could pull it off at 140. If it's 147, I definitely pick Figueroa.

Just checked - this fight is at 140. Broner BETTER fuckin retire if he loses.... he SHOULD beat an Omar Figueroa.

Broner wants to be a rapper more than a fighter.

    Good luck with that.

Think that me and one of my boys might be at Barclays for this one.

    I wouldn't be surprised.

I'd go alone, but my friend is a casual and only knows mainstream names like Broner/Davis, so when I told him both were on the same card he was interested.

After this, I probably won't see another fight at Barclays until Spence-Thurman... ASSUMING that lands at Barclays (which I think it will).

It’s just a guess, but I think it’s a discipline thing. I think he doesn’t work hard enough as he wants all the accolades and money without putting in the work.

On a side note, I was listening to an interview and Charlamagne from The Breakfast Club said Broner was at one of his (Broner’s) fighters fights and wouldn’t sit down. When some white guy asked him to sit down because the guy couldn’t see, Broner started cursing the guy out and threatening to kick his ass. Also Broner was there with his wife and kids.

Kinda like his daddy Floyd. The guy tries to talk a big game, but at the end of the day he has the wit and charisma of a rock.

We'd have to defer to REED on this one.

Anyway, this would be a case where the amateurs mean NOTHING.

Spence would send Figueroa to the fracture ward.

I give up. Broner ain't winning this fight. Dude is having another meltdown on Instagram today, his biggest yet.

Assuming he even makes it to this fight, Figueroa is the comfortable pick at this point.

    Broner is gone.

I'm not sure it's his biggest one yet. The gun one, or the random sucker punch one are pretty hard to top

That fight will never happen. One, they're good friends. Two, AB would never be stupid enough to take that fight.

Broner must be a contender for richest boxer with least in-ring justification for his wealth.

I say that as a compliment. The sport is about making money first.

Can't make this shit up.... Figueroa today was charged with a DUI.

These two undisciplined jackasses deserve eachother.

Figueroa clearly started boozing it up when he realized the broner payday was down the tubes

Seems to me this fight should still happen, in rahway

Neither one of these guys are known for their work ethic in training. Figueroa''s lazy ass should have been at 140 all these years.
